Sales in SaaS in 2023 was hard. How about 2024? What have you changed? Blasting prospect inboxes with super long, not personalized content won’t work for sure. Power dialing improves numbers but cuts the time for personalization, so you’re blasting your prospects with low-value cold calls. September was a huge month for CallCloud. We grew MRR 45+% MoM and built the October pipeline to do it again. (Compounding growth anyone?) Here’s what’s working in a market with very well funded competition: ✅Individual Free Trials - If you want to beat the big guys, team up with the little guys. Our free trial users convert at nearly 50% into paid users, which is pretty remarkable. As an SDR or AE I don’t recall paying for any tool out of pocket. That validates that we’re solving a big pain and we’re doing it seamlessly. ✅Grassroots - Our users are turning into huge internal advocates and we’re engaging to help this process. You wouldn't usually start to sell a 15 person team through a single IC, but once a Manager or Director sees the results and hears the testimonial, it’s hard not to take a look. ✅Results Sell the Product - Once the grass roots bubble up to a demo, we push every prospect into a broader team trial. What we find is the ROI demonstrated and love SDRs express for CallCloud turns prospects into buyers. I had a VP of Sales Development tell me last week: “Our SDRs would go into full blown revolt if we took this away from them.” ✅Happy Customers, Easy Growth - Our number one channel is word of mouth. We invest back into our customers with feature adds (Leaderboards coming soon!) and great customer service. In return they make our growth easier and exponential. I’m focused on building CallCloud intently with individual experience at the forefront. That might look something like a tortoise vs competition taking huge VC checks, but I’m convinced it will pay off in the long run. P.S.
