I always like to start with the database. I use postgres and always use docker to run it locally. So basically what you could do is you have your docker compose file here and you just hit docker compose up and that would set up your database locally. Then you could use whatever service you want. Then you basically move on to create a dot EMV file which right now is empty. But what you would do here is I have an example for all the services that I've installed that you'd get by default right? You don't have to eat them all, but if you want to, this is kind of like how your environment variable profile would look like. For styling, I use Shad CN and Tailwind. I love Shade CN. These are absolutely the components that I've always used in every little project that I have, Avatar, input, etcetera. But I've also used React hook form to manage my forms and Zod to create validation. So for those I've always always use have a controlled input and you'd see you use the use form context here. Everything is built to provide control over that component. Obviously when you're using a controlled input it has to be wrapped in form provider and I've added an example here of like how I'd use generally A controlled input without. Within a controlled form, right? So you define your Zod schema, then you you've had your form values. You can create this type. You use the use form hook instead of use form. Context is the wrapper. Then Chad CNN exports form. You could also use export or import, I mean form provider directly. This is a nice abstraction wrapper over phone provider. And then you pass all the methods and you called the controlled input right? So within your form so which is pretty nice. I've also added a controlled select, which is something that I don't know. I for some reason always build form heavy apps. So basically you have a way to have a select component all the right props just based on my experience, right? Now I'm moving on to some of the services that are absolutely services that I use every single time #1 e-mail. I recently discovered loops. Huge shout out amazing product with loops. I have the client initialized. I've also created this send sign up event. So basically every time a user signs up, I send that user or create a user in loops with and you can actually pass here like the contact properties you can add different like if they're on a basic plan. Pro plan, you can add as much metadata so you can basically manage that user or have different campaigns targeted from that user and a very simple center instructional e-mail method which is you design your transactional e-mail and loops and then you pass the transactional ID content if there's any data variables, let's say first name of the user which you hold in your database and you send that e-mail. The other one that I've been using and everyone's been using recently is Open AI right so. Just very simple boilerplate for Open AI. For some reason I always end up either uploading or getting files from S3 so you don't have to use this. But in general this is something that I every project like 95% of my projects. I ended U copy pasting so might as well add it to my own starter kit here which is way to upload a file, way to get up a file, delete a file from S3 and then you know if you want to like share a private file, create assigned URL. And of course payments, right? Like who doesn't want to charge for people being in their apps? So I've basically very simple boilerplate that I always use, which is always I always need get Stripe customer or create a checkout session. Here. You could basically also add a payment intent and the Creative billing portal session. Obviously this comes with its corresponding web hook in order to like handle and manage when that comes in, right? So yeah that's pretty much it. Ohh. And before I forget I've also added post talk which I use in all my platforms. If you wanna add post dog it's very simple. There are instructions in the readme. You just basically have to add on your layout page. But post doc is a great tool to track user sessions, product analytics and just help you debug in general.
