The ‘Holy Grail” of agriculture is salt tolerance & drought-resistant wheat 🌾. Our portfolio company OlsAro, is based on a decade of academic research 🔬 to tackle some these huge challenges. 'Wheat is the most widely grown cereal grain, occupying 17% of cultivated land 🌍 & a staple food for 35% of the world's population. Yet wheat is a "thirstier" plant than other staple crops like maize, rice and soy, making it more vulnerable to water shortages.' https://hubs.li/Q02zPWgK0 Elén Faxö, Henrik Aronsson, PINC, AgFunder

weeds free. the field with no weeds is very important..weeds compete with the crop against the three important things which includes water, nutrients and sunlight which are essential for plant growth in the soil. if the field has no weeds, the crop will be healthier. managing the weeds in the field helps to produce high yields in seedmaize and other crops

rice production methods:- 1) Germination:- This stage involves preparing the seeds for planting, typically by soaking them in water to initiate the germination process. 2) Seedling growth:- After germination, the seeds are planted in a nursery bed or directly in the field. During this stage, seedlings are nurtured and allowed to grow until they reach a transplantable size. 3) Tillering:- Once the seedlings are transplanted into the main field, they start to produce multiple tillers or stems, which contribute to the overall yield of the rice plant. 4) Booting:- Booting is the stage where the panicle, which contains the flowers and later the grains, emerges from the top of the rice plant. 5) Flowering and fertilization:- During this stage, the rice plant produces flowers, which need to be fertilized to develop into grains. Pollination usually occurs through wind or insects. 6) Grain filling:- After fertilization, the grains start to fill with starches and other nutrients, eventually reaching maturity. This stage is crucial for determining the final yield and quality of the rice crop. These stages represent key milestones in the growth and development of rice, and effective management practices at each stage can significantly impact the final harvest. #controlreleasefertilizer #soilmonitoring #EcoAgriculture #BiologicalFertilizers #GreenFertilizer #Microbiallnoculants #agriculture

Let’s research and Grow the right Products on Our Farms. Seasonality_ June to December. 1. LEMON In past years, a 50kg bag of lemons was selling for k500 and k1000. The projected price for 2024 for a 50kg bag is ranging between k700 and k1500. 1000 bags X (50kg) can earn you your first k1 000,000. 2. WATER MELON Last year, watermelon was selling for K50 per fruit. A properly managed 1 hec yields approximately 100 tons of produce. The average weight of a watermelon is 5kgs. 100 ton/5kg=20,000 watermelons. 20,000 fruits x k50 = 1,000,000. Happy Farming... 😁
