Unpopular Opinion: Focusing on sprinting mechanics is overvalued Humans get good at things by simply doing them. Running mechanics will be vastly different across sports/playing positions (picture a 300lb rugby prop vs 180lb rugby winger - they're not utilizing the same technique) and natural build (limb lengths etc). Pushing contact athletes into technical models can be a waste of time, and more harmful than beneficial. Most technical models would tell you that Usain Bolts running mechanics was awful. Don't get me wrong, it's not useless. Just massively overcomplicated and overvalued. Go sprint, and play your sport more.

Transformative Sales Leader I Expert in IT Managed Services, Insurance and Sports I Driving Growth through Innovation and Client Centric Strategies I Cancer Survivor
**Discovering the Joy of Pickleball: A Personal Journey** Last night, I had the pleasure of playing pickleball with my son for the first time by the official rules. It was an exhilarating experience that left me both excited and sore! Pickleball is a rapidly growing sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It's played on a smaller court with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. The rules are simple, making it easy for newcomers to pick up, yet it offers enough complexity to keep seasoned players engaged. As someone who hasn't done much physical activity in the past year and a half due to back surgery, I was a bit apprehensive about getting back into sports. However, pickleball turned out to be the perfect choice. The game's pace and the smaller court size made it manageable while still providing a good workout. The best part? Playing with my son. It was a wonderful bonding experience, filled with laughter and major competition. Jaggerd Moore has been playing for awhile so he pretty much kicked my butt. I will be working to compete with him in the near future. Despite the soreness from using muscles I haven't used in a while, I'm already looking forward to our next game. If you're looking for a fun and engaging way to stay fit, I highly recommend giving pickleball a try. It's a sport for all ages and skill levels, and you might just find yourself hooked like I did! #competition #pickleball #fathersontime

Dangerously Fit Offers Cutting-Edge Education and Fitness Equipment in the Area of Functional Strength, Using Unconventional Strength Training Tools to Develop Peak Physical Performance
Clubbell Mills: Should I Rotate the Hips & Pivot? (Part 2) If you're looking to build rotational strength for sports like golf, tennis, or combat sports that demand torque, incorporating hip rotation and foot pivots into your training can make a big difference. However, there's a trade-off. When swinging lighter clubbells, you can pivot your feet and hips freely. But with heavier clubbells, I find it's best to shift your weight in the opposite direction. This helps you stay balanced and maintain control, preventing the club from pulling you off-center.
