raiden shogunメDESIGN - The Eternal Euthymia『𝙄𝙣𝙖𝙯𝙪𝙢𝙖 1𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣』 I was rewatching cutscenes from the Inazuma Story Chapters, and i felt inspired to do something about it! I decided it was a good idea to showcase some of the cutscenes in an animated version, as the goal of the work was: ●To present that epic first chapter, when we had our first sight of the Raiden Shogun, and... ●To make it as social media content to promote the character, and at the same time, reutilizing the already created videos from the game to make an animated combination that also serves as a possible gift for players, an animated wallpaper. Hitting two birds with one big thunder. After knowing this, the sketch part began. A very powerful, violent purple, incessant rain and outrageous thunders was clearly the way to go to represent such a character. (Which i translate into the light animation and painting.) I placed the cutscenes from her first appearance, and then work around some minimal design details, as the main focus was on the character and the video. I've been wanting to ease my way back into some environments, so here's one I've been gradually chugging along with for the past week or so. I'm trying to find a balance of graphic and stylized. It started as a mapcrunch study, but I tried to add in my own character and story as well. Today, I stumbled upon a post by game industry veteran Mark Sample that reminded me of my passion and interest in digital art. Sometimes, passion can lead you into a career by accident. I have always loved drawing since I was young. Though I wasn't the best, I enjoyed learning the techniques and principles I still use today. To improve my digital art skills, I finished a piece I initially drew five years ago but left to stagnate in a folder on my Dropbox cloud storage. The painting was of Batwoman, as I am a fan of DC comic book characters. Instead of following the comic or TV series, I wanted to put my spin on her, making her more likely to wear a face cowl, cape and motorcycle outfit. It took me around 50 hours to complete from start (5 years ago) to finish (today). I also decided to add additional dimensions to it by making it a 'live' picture in After Effects, which I used to think I was good at, although maybe not so much now. So, I used particle effects to create effects like water spray, raindrops, flickering light, and exhaust gas smoke. Despite the result, It was fun and, more importantly, a chance to brush up on old skills I had forgotten. At least I have improved from the days of Deluxe Paint II (or III, which had animation capabilities). Passion can sometimes lead to great opportunities! Here’s how to keep it simple 1. Use basic shapes, lines, text, arrows, stick figures and symbols 2. Keep it quick. Just enough to get the idea across 3. Don’t worry about the details and mistakes I know many of you will think that you can’t draw. But don’t sleep on the power of your mark to enhance your words. Showing up daily is hard! But consistency is key, even if you sometimes feel you're not quite hitting the mark every time. Nothing is perfect, and it's more about showing up than being 100% amazing every time. That's just not realistic! Last week, I met Hannah from Quoted Visually, who kindly gifted me this print. On the back of the print, Hannah wrote: "Showing up, it's the least we can do! Yet when it comes to our hobbies, rituals and creative practices, why is it so difficult? Doing an activity regularly in small doses can allow us to make more progress than infrequent long bursts of effort. Consistency wins over intensity because it is more sustainable. Day 22 of #30Daysfrontendchallenge 👉 Neumorphism Animation: 👉 Neumorphism (or Neumorphic design) is a design trend that combines skeuomorphism and flat design, giving elements a soft, extruded plastic look. To create a neumorphic animation using HTML and CSS, we'll start with basic structure and style 👉 HTML Structure: A basic HTML structure is created with a container div that holds the neumorphic button. 👉 CSS Styling: Body: The body is styled to center the content both horizontally and vertically, with a light grey background color. 👉 Container: The container is used to center the neumorphic button and define its size. 👉 Neumorphic Button: A circular button (border-radius: 50%) with a light grey background. 👉 The box-shadow property is used to create the characteristic raised effect of neumorphism.
