Supporting companies as they invest in their women+ talent, reach their DEI goals and build more inclusive workplaces.
Representation of women in manufacturing is making strides (HECK YES), but challenges remain in breaking into leadership roles and closing the gender gap. Currently, women represent about 30% of the manufacturing workforce, but the path to leadership is often hindered by traditional perceptions of the industry as male-dominated, particularly in technical roles. According to SME, creating strong peer networks and mentorship opportunities is critical to breaking these barriers. Programs that foster skill development and provide community (like Bonfire.!) support are vital in helping women rise through the ranks. Equally important is the need to cultivate inclusive environments that actively address and challenge existing biases. #WomenInManufacturing #LeadershipDevelopment #Mentorship #ClosingTheGap #DiversityAndInclusion

More women leaders are needed at Board and C-Suite level, which is why the Federal government funds WILD for STEM, and while more needs to be done in this space, let us share some of our recent successful placements 2023/2024 in the life science sector: Chair MTP Connect: Hon. 😯 66% of women report workplace or organizational challenges as barriers to reaching their potential. The Female Quotient, Delta Air Lines, and Morning Brew partnered for a study, "The professional woman’s pocket decoder". Check it out: https://lnkd.in/d_nwAu8t What I found draw-dropping from this study: ➡ 18% of those who answered the survey felt somewhat or very unsatisfied with their jobs. 😑 ➡ 87% of nonwhite respondents say the glass ceiling still exists for women in their industry. 😱 Some of the steps to break those barriers include: 👌 Make and celebrate small wins! 🤩 It might seem trite but opening up those conversations through dialogue brings change. 👌 Identify where women are disadvantaged in your workplace and then implement necessary changes to your policies or procedures. 👌 Mentorship. When women feel they have a listening ear and an ally to guide them, they will thrive! Only half of the women surveyed reported having mentors... and only 26% reported they had established a sponsor–mentor relationship in the past two years. At ShowHeroes I'm very proud of the Mentorship Program we've established and I'm looking forward to seeing how these relationships nurture and grow our individuals and teams. Please reach out if you're considering starting your own initiatives or mentorship program. Let's exchange ideas! Stronger together! I'm interested to know how your mentorship journey has been. 👇 #dei #mentorship #womenatwork #womenempoweringwomen #empowerment

I attended an event last month discussing the importance of mentorship in the workplace. So…being the seeker I am, I did a bit of research on the importance of mentorship especially as it pertains to women. Mentorship is a game-changer for women, bridging the gap between aspiration and achievement. Through guidance, support, and access to opportunities, mentorship empowers women to reach their full potential. It fosters collaboration, solidarity, and diversity, creating a path for women to break barriers and lead with confidence. How does your company, or better yet-how do YOU embrace mentorship to drive empowerment, advocate for change, and build a more inclusive workplace? Mentorship can look like asking someone at the table to voice the idea they shared earlier. It can look like inviting a younger female to lunch to discuss her career aspirations. It can look like reaching out to the younger team member to discuss what her viewpoint of the team meeting was {without judgement}. So, again, I ask… what does mentorship look like in your team? #mentorship #womenempowerment #generations #boomer #genz #millennial #genx #womenshistorymonth

💫 Women Leading with Impact: The Power of Inclusion | Leressie Ashley Meet Leressie, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Business Development Representative at Denver Economic Development & Opportunity. Leressie is a leader in program creation and implementation, storytelling through data, and making opportunities accessible. 🏆 2020 Recipient of the Mentor Award at the Colorado Workforce Development Council - Colorado Apprenticeship Awards 💎 Reflecting on her journey, Leressie recalls key milestones that have shaped her leadership path: becoming an advocate for cultural representation and creating safe spaces to do so, and understanding the priority of providing #underrepresentedfounders with tailored tools and resources. Once gaining insight that the generalized resources or recommendations traditionally shared with #underrepresentedentrepreneurs are not necessarily helpful for underrepresented individuals, this made an impact on her to prioritize personalized support and advocate for more inclusive strategies that address the unique needs of marginalized communities. 💎 Inclusive leaders profoundly impact the lives of the people they serve by: 🔸Prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion 🔸Supporting personal and professional growth 🔸Creating environments that promote acceptance and belonging Leressie's dedication to catering to the unique needs of those she serves with the City and County of Denver, making an impact through her creation and facilitation of safe spaces, illustrates inclusive leadership. She understands the depth of individual experiences, fosters a sense of belonging, and promotes an environment where diverse voices are valued and heard. 📚 Her reflection shows us how a leader who deliberately empowers marginalized communities, provides opportunities for advancement, and advocates for representation creates pathways for underrepresented groups to thrive and contribute to society's progress. 🛣️ ⚪⚪⚪ Leressie’s Pearl of Wisdom for the Reader: "Women wear capes in every way, and at the same time, we are often convinced to compromise our power. Honor and celebrate the power of being a FOD (First, Only, Different) because that's what makes you, YOU. When they tell you to shrink, EXPAND. And most importantly, bring other women up with you along your journey. Always pay it forward." ⚪⚪⚪ Join us in celebrating Leressie, her impactful work, and learning from her inspiring journey! #Leadership #Inclusion #DEI #Impact #Entrepreneurship #EconomicDevelopment #Denver #WomenInBusiness

🔍 Did you know? More than half of women in STEM jobs are likely to quit before the age of 35. If we don't take action to retain these talented individuals, the gender gap in STEM will only widen further. One way to help narrow the gap is by providing leadership development programs to women to give them more opportunity to grow within their company. Recent research from Stanford University reveals that participation in our leadership program significantly enhances skills and boosts retention rates among women in STEM. Dive deeper into the study's findings: https://lnkd.in/gHBSfe3A

Seasoned Project Manager with Proven Success in Delivering Complex Projects and Delivering Great Value
While underrepresented historically, women are making significant strides in STEM, particularly R&D and B2B leadership. Dr. Jane Doe's innovations in sustainable materials and Sarah Lee's rise to CTO exemplify this progress. However, challenges like bias and work-life balance persist. - Bridging the Gap: Support and Resources: Organizations like SWE and Girls Who Code provide crucial support. At Asia Agent, we champion gender diversity with initiatives like mentorship programs and our Women in R&D Leadership Program, empowering women and ensuring their contributions are valued. - The Power of Diversity: Innovation and Success: Empowering women isn't just about individual success; it fosters innovation. Diverse teams bring fresh perspectives, leading to better problem-solving and decision-making. This benefits the entire industry. - Moving Forward: Strategies and Measurement: Celebrating achievements is key, but so is tackling remaining barriers. To further empower women, organizations can implement mentorship programs, leadership training, and flexible work arrangements. Measuring success involves tracking progress in hiring, promotion rates, and leadership positions held by women. PS: How can organizations support and empower women in STEM leadership roles, and how can we measure the impact of these initiatives? #R&D
