In a couple of weeks Aranit Harizaj, Jan Van Hauwermeiren en Philip Mathuis will attend Advanced Therapies taking place in London March 19-20 and showcase Trince's gentle non-viral transfection technology. In a nutshell our platform is: · Very gentle, leading to high yields. · Versatile, we have experience with different cargo (DNA, siRNA, #mRNA, proteins, #CRISPR Cas, #CAR,…) and cell types (#iPSCs, #Tcells, #NKcells, #MSCs,…). · Proven to be an excellent tool for bio-imaging. · Ideal for screening since we can work with different vessels (flasks, 6 up to 384 well plates). · Fast: we can transfect all wells in less than 10 minutes (up to approx. 1M cells/sec) · We can transfect suspension and adherent cell lines (without trypsinization). · On track to become cGMP approved. We happily answer all your questions during the event, so don't hesitate to book a meeting through the conference app or via info@trincebio.com. #celltherapy #cellengineering #nonviral #celltherapymanufacturing #transfection

So far in April we've had Genentech, BI, Novartis and Sanofi all announce redundancies. In March we had Bayer, BMS, GSK and Takeda. That's just looking at the big pharma, there's plenty of medium to small biotech on the list as well. Sadly when companies decide to tighten the purse strings it tends to be R&D that suffers first. It's expensive and high risk with any returns a long way in the future. I started my career at MedImmune, not long after it was acquired by AstraZeneca. Even as a junior scientist I had what felt like an unlimited R&D budget. We had access to almost any piece of equipment we desired and many of them sat unused in the corner of the lab for months or years on end. I recall one +$100k piece of equipment that only got turned on once a year when the engineer came to service it. I then switched to the world of startups and started to realise that R&D didn't have to be so expensive. It's amazing how creative a team can be when the budget is very limited. I've since built several companies on a fraction of my old pharma teams annual CAPEX budget. I've also been committed to enabling others to build their own companies and drug portfolios even when finances are very tight. At Absolute Antibody, mAbsolve and now Gamma Proteins I've always had a commitment to providing services and products at a fair price. Gamma Proteins won't change the world and prevent redundancies but we will make our own small commitment to bringing down the cost of FcgR and FcRn proteins which are widely used in therapeutic antibody R&D.
2023 was a difficult year for bio-pharma and it looks set to continue that way. Unfortunately it tends to be R&D that suffers first, with budget cuts and redundancies. We can't solve this problem but we are doing our bit to drive down the cost of recombinant Fc gamma receptors and FcRn. We strongly believe that the cost of routine reagents like these shouldn't be prohibitive to ground breaking science. If you want to learn more about our products and efforts to democratize access to high quality Fc receptors in bulk quantities visit our website: gammaproteins.com

Kane Biotech’s President and CEO, Marc Edwards sends a video all the way from Karlstad, Sweden where he is visiting Aurena Laboratories, Kane’s amazing partner in the development of a new bag-on-valve application system for its revyve™ Antimicrobial Wound Gel. The propellant-free applicator allows the gel to be easily sprayed on sensitive wounds such as burns and helps reduce the risk of infection and pain by eliminating any direct physical contact with the wound. Kane is in the final stages of development of this product which is still pending FDA clearance, and has filed a patent based on the significant impact it believes revyve™ Antimicrobial Wound Gel Spray will have on sensitive wounds. This new product will be a follow-on product to Kane' 510(k) cleared revyve™ Antimicrobial Wound Gel. #biofilm #health #medical #burns #wounds #woundspray #woundcare #biotech #kanebio #biotechnology #smallcap #technology #innovation
