It has been a busy start to 2024 with several international trips including Saudi Arabia and Arab Health, and loads of meetings with our fantastic distributors globally.🌍 Interestingly, there have been a few reoccurring themes that kept popping up in conversations and I thought I'd share those with you: 🩺 The impact of the #MDR is real. More and more devices are disappearing from the market leading to shortages, particularly in the OR. Hospitals and distributors are increasingly under pressure to find suitable alternatives. (💡SehaMed™ is here to support distributors to identify and connect with trusted alternative suppliers) 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia has become a major strategic focus for many European & US MedTech companies. It offers substantial commercial opportunities in its growing healthcare market, though not without challenges. Saudi contracts are often logistically and financially risky, particularly for small to medium-sized manufacturers. Collaborating with a trusted KSA partner has therefore become critical in succeeding and navigating the challenging supply landscape effectively (NUPCO, GHC etc.). 🔮 Arab Health vs. MEDICA. And the trend continuous, as more and more medical professionals opt for Arab Health over MEDICA. I am currently visiting the MedTech fair #arabhealth (on the picture with trAIDe client Irina Schwaer from the company Likamed GmbH - thanks for welcoming me on your stand!) in Dubai and I cannot help but to compare it to the #medica in Düsseldorf. Apart from the weather there are definitely some other key factors which should be considered when deciding which one to visit or exhibit on.
