If you're a scientist exploring for and/or developing sandstone reservoirs, you won't want to miss this course on interpreting sand models. Over 5 half-days, you will review depositional processes, core and log signatures, and reservoir geometries across a variety of depositional environments, and apply these observations to both outstanding outcrops and then the subsurface using logs, maps, and where available good seismic. 🔍 Great to see #PaleoScan in action on PGS's SNS Vision project! PGS used our relative geological time (RGT) model to rapidly generate detailed horizons stacks on their Southern North Sea Vision Data. The study has gone on to reveal gas and carbon storage potential in the region. Read more about it here > https://lnkd.in/exs_Df4q #seismicdata #geophysics #ccs #northsea #geoscience

Check out the #Texas #teamwork! This photo shows Explor providing high-precision seismic source support for a long-offset walkaway and check shot (LOWACS) VSP acquired by the Halliburton #team in south Texas. Vertical #Seismic Profiles (#VSP), acquired with conventional downhole geophone arrays and/or with Distributed Acoustic Sensing (#DAS), are an essential tool in the #geophysics toolbox, and Halliburton has an amazing #technology stack to drive value for its clients. VSPs provide essential velocity data as well as information about rock properties, significantly improving the ability to process and interpret surface seismic data. This can apply to a number of industries including #oilandgas #CCS, #mining, #geothermal, #hydrogen, and #helium, among others. Explor has been working closely with Halliburton to optimize the quality and efficiency of the seismic source #technology required for VSP #data acquisition. With the widest array of onshore seismic source types in the industry, we have tested and provided seismic source support for a wide variety of VSP types across a range of #industry verticals over the past several years. This focused effort has also helped drive an understanding of the need for better tools to support a variety of use cases related to VSP work. #geoscience #geology #exploration #petrophysics #lithology #completions #drilling #engineering #innovation

Geophysical consultant in Seismic, Gravity and LiDAR. Developer of innovative geophysical algorithms.
Title: The Seismic Residual Attribute allows to optimize seismic interpretation. February 2024. New example, number 08. I want to share with you a new brief presentation about the Seismic Residual Attribute (or SeisRA). SeisRA applied to a migrated stack generates a new image in which an important improvement in the seismic representation of the structural and the stratigraphic features is achieved; the vertical resolution and the signal-to-noise ratio are also enhanced. Therefore, SeisRA allows to optimize the seismic interpretation. In the attached new example, SeisRA was applied post-stack to a window of a time-migrated 2D seismic line, located in the North Atlantic Ocean near the East Coast of the USA. It takes approximately eight working days to apply post-stack SeisRA to a seismic cube of 500 square kilometers, in time or depth domain, with a bin of 25 m x 25 m. And the cost of this fast service, which provides excellent results, is reasonably low. Please, do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions regarding SeisRA or if you want to test this attribute on your seismic data. Thank you very much for your time.
