Navigating the challenges of #postpartumdepression (PPD) can be a difficult journey for families. As research shows, PPD symptoms can potentially impact: - Mother-baby outcomes: Including infant attachment difficulties. - Child development: Including social-emotional, language, cognitive, adaptive, and motor development. - Partner outcomes: Including higher levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. If you're providing care for someone experiencing symptoms of PPD, encourage them to speak to their healthcare provider for more information. In addition, supportive resources are available thanks to the work of advocacy organizations like Families for Depression Awareness.
