Add administrative support, payroll and tax expert, accountant, auditor, leaves and benefits consultant, vendor relations manager, data analyst, technical guru, project manager, teacher, event coordinator, business leader, strategist, emergency responder, yoga instructor (for how flexible we have to be, and therefore how “zen” we’ve learned to be amidst the chaos), and so much more…
Being an HR professional is not for the faint of heart. While we may wear many hats, we only wear one badge: “people matter.” Without people, everything else crumbles. Even in a world with AI, which is an excellent tool to add efficiencies to our processes, embracing and caring for the human element in our workforce is what truly gives businesses a competitive advantage in today’s post-pandemic world.
If you know someone in HR, maybe give them a 👏🏻 sometime… It’s no small feat, and we could all use a little encouragement from time to time. One team, one dream! 💪🏻
