A very interesting and practical perspective was presented by Mr Bharat Agarwal, It's not only about provision, it is also important about the capacity of the university that can allow this! I am sure more universities will gear up to adopt NEP. Those diploma programs in partnership with industries would be game changers!
President Bharat Agarwal from Vishwakarma Group shared valuable insights at the 4th Global Education Conclave! 🎓🗣️ Exploring the 'Multiple Entry and Multiple Exit' approach in the New Education Policy, he shed light on its benefits, and cautioned on key considerations. He further exemplified how Vishwakarma Institute is gearing up with this aspect of NEP-2020. COO @ Singhania Education | Ed-Tech | Schools | Keynote Speaker | Building Quest+ one of the fastest growing Edtech platform for schools.
I'm always excited by initiatives that focus on improving student learning and development. That's why I'm particularly interested in #PARAKH (Performance Assessment, Review and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development), an independent unit set up by the NCERT. PARAKH's mission resonates deeply with me. The current education system often emphasises rote learning and standardised tests, but PARAKH aims to move beyond that by focusing on a more holistic approach to assessment. This includes not just measuring academic knowledge, but also essential skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. One aspect of PARAKH's work that excites me is its focus on capacity development in competency-based assessment. Equipping teachers with the tools and strategies to effectively assess these 21st-century skills is crucial. It helps them provide students with rich learning experiences that go beyond textbooks. Ensuring a level playing field across different boards is essential for creating a fair and equitable education system. PARAKH's work in this area, through workshops and data analysis, can pave the way for a more standardised and consistent approach to assessment across India. PARAKH's work represents a significant step in transforming India's education system. By focusing on holistic assessment and capacity development, it aims to create a learning environment that fosters both academic excellence and well-rounded individuals prepared for future challenges. I know implementation can be challenging, but PARAKH's approach has the potential to revolutionise how students are evaluated and developed, moving beyond traditional metrics to nurture a more comprehensive set of skills and competencies. This shift could prove instrumental in equipping India's youth with the diverse abilities needed to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape. Of course, there's always room for improvement. As an education leader, I'm eager to see how PARAKH's work evolves and how it can be implemented effectively at the school level. But the potential is undeniable, and I'm optimistic about the impact it can have on our students. #Education #NEP #PARAKH #Assessments

In 2023, India spearheaded transformative #educationalinitiatives aimed at empowering its youth for global success. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed aligning education with industry needs, in sync with the National Education Policy 2020. The UGC introduced groundbreaking projects - a portal for Professors of Practice (PoP) and the comprehensive UTSAH portal, elevating higher education standards as per NEP 2020. IIT Kharagpur expanded its academic horizon with an MBBS program and a dual BTech-MTech degree. Simultaneously, UGC proposed draft regulations enabling foreign universities to establish campuses in India, globalizing the #highereducation landscape. A stride towards streamlined governance emerged with the proposal for a single regulator, the Higher Education Commission of India, potentially encompassing prestigious institutions like IITs, IIMs, NITs, and IISERs. The inauguration of the IIT Madras-Zanzibar Campus showcased India's commitment to internationalizing its education system. As we reflect on these strides, we anticipate an even brighter 2024, with continued advancements shaping the #futureofeducation in India. #Greatify #edtech #educationinnovation #nationaleducationpolicy

I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and the need for continuous learning and adaptation. This perspective has only fueled my passion for research and higher learning, motivating me to dive deeper into my field. At AMU, I look forward to expanding my knowledge, contributing to impactful research, and ultimately using this experience to shape the future of education and academia. On Academic Excellence and Global University Rankings Series (2) : My 2- Cents to every irrational rationalizers from #IITs of #India and their supporters: You must Learn to face the reality and stop running away from game. Ab aur "Mujhe yeh game nahi khelna hai" kehne se nahi chalega. Prove your competitive edge and indispensability to the World. You owe this to the Nation, as public Taxpayer's- funded institutions. My personal experience with IITs and several Central Universities/Institutions tells me they are a hub of utter mediocrity wrapped up in egotistical machinations with Godlike Professors residing in Ivory towers, molly-coddled and defended by everyone who like to hail themselves as champions of Nationalism. I don't say that Professors abroad are not egotistical or any better. Many of them are, in addition to the systemic racism... But, nobody defends or protects them under the garb of Nationalism, and they are mostly assessed based on their performance and contributions, not who they are connected to (social and political capital). This got to change if any real change is to be expected in the near future. #Mediocrity #Quality #Competitiveness #Success #Excellence #IntellectualCapital #HumanCapital #Research #Academia #Education #AcademicExcellence #PowerofBelief Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay Indian Institute of Technology, Madras Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur Times Higher Education QS World University Rankings NITI Aayog Official CSIR India
