NOT ASKING FOR MONEY, just sharing an interesting thought. Cool prizes don’t motivate people to share your brand/idea/cause or whatever else you are trying to promote. My football club, the Judean Rebels, is made up of multiple tackle and flag teams with hundreds of players and former players. I made an offer to the team captains: Whichever team raises the most money for our go-fund-me would get a customized pair of Air Force Ones. The mock-up looked sweet. The team captains were pretty into it. I thought it would be a home run. But then we ran into our first major problem: We couldn't convince any of the players to commit to raising anything. And the captains gave up. The result? 24 donations reaching about $1,500. So early this year my friend Daniel Freishtat reached out to me and asked me if I wanted to run a peer-to-peer fundraiser using CauseMatch. I told him I know everything about peer-to-peer, and believe me, it’s not for us. But we met anyway, and within a few minutes, we uncovered 5 different huge mistakes I had made. And what we could have done. So I took them up on it. And we’ll see if we can beat that $1,500 raised. And I am going to show you exactly how we do it in the following weeks. #fundraising #nonprofit #football

Video Magic Maker 🎥 We help non profits & purposeful brands generate more revenue & awareness through power of story - “Jason, we just hit our revenue goal within 3 mins of showing your video!!"
Some non profits do an amazing job at hosting spectacular galas. Yet, really struggle to hit record-breaking numbers. So here are 3 simple adjustments to bring in more donations at your next gala: 1️⃣ Don't kill the moment after the video plays. - Let the video play. - Make the “cash call” very simple. - Then drop the mic & get out of the way. 2️⃣ Keep them hungry. - The cash call should probably come before dinner. - People are attentive & more ready to give. - And that’s when you need to “Ask”. 3️⃣ Hire a professional auctioneer. - Celebrity emcees are great… - But an auctioneer can lead the crowd. - They are professionals at getting people to donate. If you overlook these 3 simple adjustments you could be leaving a lot of donations on the table. If you want to learn more about how I can help you craft a record-breaking gala, DM the word “GALA” & I’ll show you how we can help!

We want to be transparent with you for a moment. We know this time of year we talk about Big Night, a lot. We hope you love Big Night but maybe you are not interested in Big Night, or maybe you don't know what it is. So, we want to take some time to explain why it's so important we get the word out about our cause. Big Night is the most crucial fundraiser for the JCC each year. On the surface, Big Night is a party. But below the surface it's so much more. With the dollars raised during Big Night we are able to sustain the annual programs that make the JCC what it is. If you have ever entered our doors, you have benefited from the money we raise at Big Night every year. Without Big Night, we wouldn't be able to provide as many scholarships to members or families who rely on our programs every day. Without Big Night, we wouldn't be able to make as many accommodations to make the JCC more accessible and inclusive. Without Big Night, we wouldn't be able to house as many dozens of clubs, programs, and meetings that take place at our JCC seven days a week. Without Big Night, our event wouldn’t be the cornerstone of connections, engaging people who are new to our Pittsburgh community, the very people who you have become great friends with via the JCC. Without Big Night, our JCC wouldn't be what it is. A place where everyone can feel like they belong. We want to continue this important work, but we need your help to do it. Whether it's through an annual donation of any amount, purchasing event tickets or raffle tickets, buying something in our silent auction, or becoming an annual sponsor, your involvement makes a difference. Your involvement helps us keep the JCC as it is and encourages us to do more. Thank you for taking the time to listen to our cause. Whether you're a member, friend, or live in our communities, you help make the JCC a better place. We hope to see and celebrate with you on March 9. For information on all things Big Night 2024, you can visit our website here: https://bit.ly/3QwGewv

Monday morning thought... You've all heard the old adage "Less is More." It's used so often because it rings true in so many instances including your silent auction. Pro-Tip: Ask your procurement committee to focus on quality over quantity to spark your donors' interest and generosity. #auctionprocurement #fundraisingevents #fundraisinghack
If you're not able to raise money from your silent auction it's probably because you're forgetting this... SCARCITY. We've all been there. We're setting up a fundraising event, trying to figure out how many auction items we need to maximize the money raised, while ensuring we stay within the budget. It's not easy. However, with this silent auction hack, you'll never spend more than 5 minutes deciding how many items you need. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗸: For every 2 donors, use 1 silent auction item. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? Say you have 120 guests coming to your event. Out of those 120 are 50 loyal donors. Now, out of the 70 guests who have never donated to you in the past, there may be a few who end up giving during your event. But, don't EXPECT them to give. Instead, use those unexpected donors to help drive up the auction item price for your loyal donors. So, for this scenario you should only have 25 silent auction items. Doing this will encourage fun bidding wars among donors and increase the amount raised for your mission. If you'd like to increase participation and allow more unexpected donors to give, try utilizing a raffle at the same event! #fundraisingtips #nonprofitfundraising #nonprofithelp #nonprofits #fundraisingideas

Charity Football Match To rally around those affected and provide much-needed assistance, we are organising a charity football tournament, at Marine Football Club on the 17th August 2024. This event will bring together teams from across the region in a show of unity and support. Every donation made to this page will go directly to the victims and survivors of the Southport mass stabbing. How You Can Help: Donate: No amount is too small. Every contribution brings us closer to our goal of helping those in need. Play: You can enter a team into the tournament at just £10 per player (minimum 7, maximum 10). It will be a fun, friendly way to come together and raise money. Spread the Word: Share our JustGiving page with friends, family, and on social media to raise awareness.
