Final thought on the matter: rap feuds are like pro wrestling, and both are like comic books, and real housewives, and days of our lives. It’s the same fundamental memetic form, just arising in different subculture environments. The serial, communal experience of dramatic conflict unfolding. You could say sportsball seasons are this too. I would draw the line at politics and war, because those are not merely dramatic conflict, but it’s not clear cut. Reality shows and sports have real consequences sometimes to the drama, as does rap feuding. And the news presents politics and war in a way that it activates and excites this meme receptor in us. It’s a realtime Mythos.

How can you remember every name (even the most difficult, foreign name)? Here's what I do: I deconstruct the name into its components and then create a scene in my head. That scene is completely messed up: Super random, sometimes violent, sometimes crazy. The weirder the scene, the more my brain will remember it. Example 1: Name: Seo-Jun Components: > Se: Sound close to “sea” > o: > Jun: Sounds close to John. A famous John that I know is John Cena, from WWE Scene: I picture Seo-Jun on the sea, standing on top of a round (o-shaped) boxing ring, punshing John cena in the face Example 2: Name: Vilhelmina Components: > Vil: Sounds close to Will. The first Will that pops to my mind is Will Smith > Hel: Sounds close to “hell”. > Mina: Sound close to “mean” Scene: I picture Will smith with devil’s horn in hell, sayin something very mean to Vilhelmina (You’re so freakin’ dumb).
