A month ago, we launched Sesame—India's first LLM for financial services.
We've received a ton of messages since then!
To dive deeper, we recorded a video podcast with Pratyush Kumar (co-founder of Sarvam AI and Nikhil Kumar.
Here’s a sneak peek into our conversation!
Yeah, startup Karna, I didn't I don't remember even thinking that question right. So consulting, you know, I didn't want to do that. There are some interesting things about what is the compute power and iPhone today and what was it in a super computer in 2009. Do you remember where you were when I first got launched? That was the first magical moment and we were like, holy **** what is this? Because ChatGPT came, we felt that we need to have a little bit more energy and be able to move faster and so on and that's when we started server. But the promise of experience being personalized at an NTH level has not happened. The future of user experiences is actually going to be designed by the users and not by designers anymore.

Note to evaluators: Evaluations conducted "mechanistically", e.g., where frames, criteria, procedures, templates, etc. are set, which is most of those I come across in the development industry, can now easily be "automated" using various "AI" tools.

Using Google's Notebook LM, I fed in 25,000 words from 3 reports I've written this year and it instantly spit out this mind-blowing podcast style conversation between two AI hosts.
AI is about to completely change how we consume information - which is exactly what this demo podcast talks about.

Recorded an insightful podcast yesterday with Sanskar Goyal for his Youtube channel, where I shared my journey in Machine Learning and the steps one can take to enter the field.
Stay tuned for the video release, where you can learn more about this exciting field!
AI - making audio 'conversations' from research/written content. I just read & listened to this post by Jonathan Tanner. https://lnkd.in/gMtA-G9E
Here's my full response. Why? Why do this? What does it offer over a written (or narrated article) - other than introducing a pretend conversation? And why don't the AI voices SAY what they are upfront? Why the pretense?
Okay so you make content fast - by using existing material. But hasn't all the interaction gone out of the making process? You know, the human interactions & learning that comes from humans speaking with each other? I appreciate that you did the research used yourself. But will other producers using this method do that - or just rip the content from originators who will likely get NO reimbursement for their source work?
Do you enjoy listening to fake voices - simulating real people & conversation? It IS amazing that it sounds so real. But to me that is sinister. Because the methodology can be used to fake so much more effectively, including by people with no scruples around deception. As for the content, interesting debate. I'd prefer to hear YOU telling this story - in a real interactive interview with another real person.
Finally - most crucially - this is a further disembodiment from the real, tangible, living world. A trend that younger people seem to increasingly embrace, without an understanding of the full impacts - now and in the future. I'm not blaming them, but rather an educational system that allows that to happen. There's NO mention of the environmental damage that AI causes - its 'hidden' costs - so typical of most modern economics, which refuses to acknowledge the realities of living on a planet with finite resources. E.g. https://lnkd.in/gfB23TWE and https://lnkd.in/g8wimBYU
Whatever the good intentions of such a process, it will likely take away jobs and ... the basic joys (and pains) of living and working a fully human life in all its various forms. I'd always opt for a real diamond with all it flaws, than a beautifully crafted but synthetic fake. I hope at least some of you out there agree.
