On Saturday, we celebrated the first birthday of one of my passion projects, the Launch Community. The Launch Community is a facilitation experiment where we play with the tools we need to build community across difference. We're an "unlikely community" of people because we come together intentionally even when we don't have any obvious similarities. Often, communities are built around shared interests, backgrounds, or experiences. Our community is built on practice, in the sense that we're each developing the skills to cultivate belonging with others - with no training wheels. One year ago, the Launch Community was an idea in my notes app. In just one year, we've hosted 10 Stranger Socials welcoming new members, 9 Connect + Expand Events diving deep into the nuts and bolts of community building, and 27 total events building friendships and the hard skills we need to cultivate community. 💡 How do we actually get better at listening? 💡 How do we lean on each other to deepen our connections? 💡 How do we create space for conflict so it doesn’t derail our bonds? At just one year old, we don't have all the answers, but we have met 108 people who are crawling towards them together! Follow our little experiment on Instagram: https://lnkd.in/gdiZ2MYQ

Looking to get more from your advocates? 📈 Don’t box them into a corner. Christina Garnett, EMBA's advice is to create a space where advocates can ‘pick their own adventure’. Case studies are here to stay, but discovering how to make them more human is the real key. Listen to Christina's community building MASTERCLASS here and get new ways to work with your advocates. 🔥 https://lnkd.in/e2pYGucf

*How I found success by being part of a strong community. *You can't grow alone—community is the key to thriving in any industry. When I first started out, I knew that I would not be able to do this alone. But the real breakthrough happened when I connected with like-minded people who shared their experiences, insights, and support. Being part of a community doesn’t just give you access to new ideas—it gives you the confidence to take bigger steps. Whether it’s sharing wins, discussing challenges, or learning from others’ mistakes, the collective knowledge and encouragement from a supportive community can make all the difference. Here’s what I’ve learned: the more you give to your community, the more you get back. It’s not about what you can take, but how much value you can bring to others. Are you actively engaging with your community? How has it helped you grow?

When everyone is churning out forgettable content, where will you stand out? The answer? 👇 By hosting communities that bring people together. ⭐️ Communities that break the ice. ⭐️ Communities that build relationships. ⭐️ Communities that don't rely on you or your content to work. ⭐️ Communities where YOUR MEMBERS drive the workshops, livestreams, events, and connections just not possible on any other platform. And when you build this kind of community? You'll be asking yourself, "why didn't I do this sooner?" Intrigued, but not sure where to start? We've got you. On July 9th, we're going to show you step-by-step EXACTLY how YOU can bring a community like this to life.
