How do we find our way to "enough?" Today, The Restoration Project's Dream Builder and founder, Lindsay Leahy shares examples of how she and her clients find their way to enough. 👉 Unfortunately, as Lindsay shares, there is no magic answer that applies to everyone. Lindsay shares that each of us needs to sit down, listen to our inner voices, assess what's important to us, tune out societal expectations, and put our time and energy where it matters most. ✨ It is then, when we understand ourselves and our intentions that we can devise goals and plans to help us realize our unique paths to "enough." Watch Lindsay's video for more insights into our February theme of Potential & Peace and finding our way to enough here at The Restoration Project.

Watching this last night, it provided a funny yet stark reminder around the importance of good planning (plus warm memories of my two years living in Liverpool). https://lnkd.in/eucMYwYE Planning can be the most cost-effective process you can achieve as it allows you to set out what you are trying to do, applies a benchmark to re-assess at various points and importantly provides a platform for positive engagement and collaboration (my best work has always been improved by the people I have been fortunate to surround myself with). As we move into a period of developing our national infrastructure to achieve Net Zero Carbon, we should always ask ourselves the following: 1. Is what we are providing functional - will work first and foremost and will it continue to do this long into the future 2. Does this provide value - is it sustainable and does the investment help develop our society 3. Is this the best use of time, talent and resource - thankfully I can't come up with something better to do than generate energy using the sun! Making sure we ask these questions before proceeding is important, as it allows for people to engage and buy-into the changes around them. My take away from the KIRKBY SKI SLOPE that never was: Bad planning happens behind closed doors (or in this case, the pub) Good planning is open, honest, engages and allows for healthy debate With the amount of development set to happen over the next 30 years, it is imperative that we get the communication right and bring people along. A lack of engagement is a slippery slope (pun unfortunately intended).
