Teaching is more than just a profession, it's a profound responsibility to shape minds and transfer knowledge across generations. The role of a teacher, trainer, facilitator is particularly significant, as it involves not only developing others but also refining one's own approach to education. To truly excel as an educator, it's essential to be conscious of how we engage in the teaching process. However, this self-awareness may not always come naturally. That's why a structured approach, supported by mentors and guides, is crucial. With the right framework in place, such as the Standard for Continual Assessment and Development of Faculty (CADCF), teachers can continually assess their progress and evolve into more refined educators. A true teacher gradually sheds his/her ego, becoming a vessel through which knowledge flows freely and effectively. The CADCF aims to support educators on this journey, helping them grow into the facilitators and mentors that our future generations need. #TeachingExcellence #Education #TeacherDevelopment #Mentorship #CADCF #LifelongLearning
We are proud to introduce the Standard for Continual Assessment, Development, and Certification of Maritime Faculty (CADCF). This innovative and transformative framework ensures the continual upskilling of maritime educators, trainers, and instructors, thereby fostering excellence in maritime education. Developed by the research wing of ISF Group, CADCF establishes a new benchmark in professional development, offering a structured and effective system for ongoing growth and improvement. It provides comprehensive guidance on faculty selection, criteria, and proficiency enhancement, spanning from basic to advanced certification levels. Applications to CADCF opening soon. Stay tuned... 1. On Results’ Day, check UCAS Hub at 8-8:15am 2. If you’ve just missed your conditions: the university may still offer you a place on either the original course or a similar course (call the uni if no decision is showing on UCAS Hub) 3. If you’ve missed by a few grades: - On UCAS Hub, it will clearly state if you’ve been placed in Clearing and you’ll have a Clearing number (write this down) - Get your exam grades from your school or college - Check on uni websites for Clearing places. You can also use the UCAS search tool and the UCAS matching service - For each uni you’re interested in, note the Clearing phone number and the course title and code - Call the unis: ask if they’ll accept you. Prepare answers for why you want to study that course and why you want to attend that uni - If the uni offers you a place, they’ll give you a code to add on Hub - Don’t panic: you can call more than one uni and you only add your Clearing place on Hub from 1pm You’ll need: * Your UCAS personal ID number * Your Clearing number * Your grades/UCAS tariff points * The uni name, its Clearing phone number, the course title and code * Information about why you want to study that course and why that uni * Any other useful info eg your achievements, any challenges you’ve faced * A pen and pad to write notes including Clearing offer codes Good luck 🍀 #examstress #gradeanxiety #knowledgeispower #beprepared #anxiety #examanxiety #ucas #clearing #ucasclearing #universityclearing #clearing
