What do you think is happening in this picture? This is from an event we host at the winery in December called The Great Big Holiday Party. It is the only ticketed family-friendly event we offer at our winery. There are horse-drawn wagon rides around the vineyard, an over-the-top hot chocolate bar, and of course Santa who brought a big book of names on a Naughty and Nice list. For fun, we offered a "speak easy" tasting experience for our wine club members. As we are planning 2024, we revisit our mission and vision as well as our brand to consider if we should offer events and if so, what type of events. We also have to tie every event to a purpose. Each event has to have an explanation of why we host it, for whom, and what the goal is. This may seem tedious but is necessary for the success of the winery and to make sure we are offering intentional events that our customers will attend. This year we hosted several winemaker dinners, a Motown Jazz concert, guided vineyard tours, library tastings, barrel tastings, pop-ups in Seattle area and Vancouver, WA and more. We are excited about what next year will bring! How do you decide what your business will offer (new products, events, etc.) for the next year? Do share. Inquiring minds want to know.
I love the ingenuity. Great ideas!
