Due diligence is also required before accepting a new offer from the employer/company. Do get a market reference of the company you want to join. Market reference matters a lot.

Square Peg, Round Hole approach can more than often, unsurprisingly, not be the right solution🤦...... 🟠 Too often I've been seeing clients making shortcuts within the recruitment world however I've also seen this in other 'cost saving' exercises where the investment in the wrong or cheaper solution comes back to bite. This is even more prevalent given the increased focus on tech amongst most industries. 🟠 Within recruitment it is more than likely the square peg will be the cheaper option and/or most readily available person. Cutting corners can lead to big issues down the line. 🟠 Prime examples of this can be at the most senior level as well. I've seen the FCA cracking down, understandably, on candidates that try to be signed off for SMF functions but have either none or limited prior experience of that business type. Yes a lot of experienced individuals can pick up a new business type however, particularly in the retail FS market, I've seen many individuals get rejected by the FCA for not having strong enough knowledge for the business they are supposed to support. 🟠 Why utilise a specialist recruiter? We will hit the mark with candidates that have the technical knowledge, business understanding & cultural fit to a firm. It's not just about lining up a CV to a job spec!
