This is Why We Do What We Do! 🌟 The impact of your support is immeasurable. Thanks to our incredible sponsors, golfers, and donors, we're able to make a huge difference in the lives of those we help. Without our amazing customers, our mission to support the organizations we believe in wouldn't be possible. Thank you for standing with us and for making the Haynesville Open such a success!
Today would have been my dad’s 78th Birthday. He passed away 8 years ago. He had Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia. My dad was an amazing “girl dad”. He taught us to braid hair, use jumper cables, which screw-driver was which, rode the scary rides with us, and taught us to be kind humans (long before that was a thing). He has been greatly missed over the last five years. His grandsons have all grown up. Three have gotten married, one is in college, and he now has the most perfect great-granddaughter. While we were very fortunate to have had our dad for 69 years, we’d loved to have had him longer. Dementia takes a huge tole on the families of the patient. You sit and watch as your loved one suffers from a disease that isn’t their fault and no one can cure. It is heart breaking, but you want to soak up all the memories you can. You want their final days to have dignity and meaning. You struggle to make decisions that are right for them. It’s not easy. On September 10, Jeff and I will host a golf tournament in Shreveport, the Haynesville Open. All the events we do, benefit someone or some organization in one way or another. A portion of the proceeds from this tournament will be donated to The Bridge Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center in Shreveport in honor of my dad. My dad was a long time East Texas resident. He attended Kilgore College. At the time of his death, he was a Shreveport resident. Thank you to everyone that is coming out to support the tournament! Please know that your support of Shale Energy Resources goes far beyond helping Jeff & I provide for our family, it helps others in the communities that support the oil field. The greatest gift my dad gave me was teaching me to always be kind and to make a difference where I can. I hope I honor him daily.
