📢 Excited to share a new analytical report "More, Better, and Inclusive Jobs in Kazakhstan: Social Protection and Jobs Europe and Central Asia," which I had the honor of co-authoring. 🔍 In the study, we conducted a thorough analysis of the current employment situation in Kazakhstan, identified the main challenges, and proposed solutions. 📈 One of the key achievements was the introduction of a new methodology for defining quality jobs, based on a four-dimensional approach: 1. Decent wages – salaries above the median level in the respective region. 2. Employment stability – having permanent work over the last six months. 3. Social benefits – providing employees with social guarantees. 4. Safe working environment – minimizing accidents at work. 💡 This indicator is calculated automatically, without direct human intervention, ensuring its objectivity and accuracy. 🤝 I am grateful to contribute to this significant work and thank all colleagues and partners for their collaboration! #economy #labourmarket #WorldBank #qualityjobs

The aim of this research was to explore how indirect communication impacts the well being of employees in multinational oil companies operating in Nigeria. This study employed a cross sectional survey approach, collecting primary data via a structured questionnaire. It focused on a population of 10,714 workers from six such companies. With a sample size of 386 determined using Taro Yamanes formula, reliability was ensured by Cronbachs Alpha coefficient, with all items scoring above 0.70. Hypotheses were evaluated using Spearmans Rank Order Correlation Coefficient, utilizing Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 23.0, at a 95 confidence level and a significance level of 0.05. The results revealed significant connections between indirect communication and various aspects of employee well being. The study recommends that multinational oil company management in Nigeria should foster indirect communication by creating environments supportive of collective bargaining, joint consultative committees, and works councils, aimed at improving the psychological, social, and physical well being of workers. by Mercy Ughuere Dienye "Indirect Voice and Worker Well-Being in Multinational Oil Exploration and Producing Companies in Nigeria" Published in International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development (ijtsrd), ISSN: 2456-6470, Volume-8 | Issue-3 , June 2024, URL: https://lnkd.in/dMME_xf8 Paper Url: https://lnkd.in/dPpEs4-5

To address unemployment in Papua New Guinea, the government could implement several strategies: 1. **Invest in Education and Skills Training**: Improve access to quality education and vocational training programs to equip the workforce with skills relevant to the job market. 2. **Promote Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)**: Provide support for SMEs through grants, loans, and training to encourage entrepreneurship and job creation. 3. **Enhance Infrastructure Development**: Invest in infrastructure projects (roads, ports, telecommunications) to create jobs and improve access to markets. 4. **Encourage Foreign Investment**: Create a favorable environment for foreign investors by streamlining regulations and offering incentives to attract businesses that can generate jobs. 5. **Focus on Agriculture**: Invest in the agricultural sector to increase productivity, create jobs, and promote food security. 6. **Develop the Tourism Sector**: Promote sustainable tourism initiatives that can create jobs and boost local economies. 7. **Strengthen Public Works Programs**: Implement programs that provide temporary jobs through community development projects. 8. **Enhance Labor Market Policies**: Improve labor laws and protections to promote fair employment practices and support workers' rights. By addressing these areas, the government can help create a more robust job market and reduce unemployment.
