5 things your charity should do in the next 100 days of Labour Government 1️⃣ Align Priorities: How do your challenges intersect with the government's 100 day agenda? Talk about it on social. 2️⃣ Highlight Gov priorities: If what you do isn't on their agenda - "This isn’t on the gov priority list right now, but we’re providing critical services and .." If what you do is on the agenda - great, highlight how you're fighting for the same thing! 3️⃣ Stay Reactive: King's speech, policy developments and public opinions are all key to making the most of. Empower your social media team to get info out quickly! 4️⃣ Don't do it on your own: By forming a coalition with another charity, there's a higher chance of an ask being taken seriously. The Gov wants quick wins and 1 ask backed by a few charities is more likely to be actioned than multiple different asks by multiple charities. 5️⃣ Keep comms with MPs short: With MP's mailboxes being bombarded, think outside the box. Can you meet them in person or send them a short email with a practical ask? These were among the key takeaways from yesterday's Fundraising Everywhere webinar. Entering the care system can be a daunting experience for children, often marked by confusion and loss. In Wales there are more than 7,000 children in care, many of whom arrived with their belongings in bin liners, fostering feelings of worthlessness. Heirs is an organisation addressing this crisis through its “love in a bag” programme, providing essential supplies and emotional support to children in care, instilling dignity and hope during a vulnerable period of their lives. In the latest round of Grants for Good, Heirs has been granted £2,500 from John Good Group | Growing Businesses Together to help fund the co-ordination and supply of more backpacks.
