44 people attended our team monthly demo yesterday. 44. That's a new attendance record. That's awesome right? The demo lasted a whopping 10 mins because most of the team was on vacation in Aug and we didn't have as much to show. Now you're thinking why have the demo...... 2 reasons We like to keep the regular cadence. We care about being in touch with our users. The demos are for them, not us. The things we showed in those 10 mins were valuable. Work doesn't have to take weeks or months of completion time to be of interest to others. Small changes can have a huge impact on user experience. We showed the small changes that were completed in Aug. #demos

Sometimes the most valuable feedback is the most painful to get. In our usual in-person demos, we guide users through our application, which we had assumed was quite intuitive. But this week, I received a spontaneous 12-minute video of a potential partner trying out our application on their own for the first time—without any prior instruction. It was, to put it mildly, painful to watch: - “No, don’t click there yet.” - “Oh, you need to activate this part first!” - “Wait, why did you go there now?” But that was EXTREMELY HELPFUL! It pointed out the many missteps that can prevent a user from experiencing the actual functionality of the application. I am glad we launched early and got that valuable feedback early on. Chances are, we couldn't figure this out without letting people use it. A special thanks to our partner for taking the time to evaluate the tool and share their experience with us. Again, that’s a valuable exercise that only motivates us to get better. #ProductDesign #CustomerExperience #UserFeedback #StartupLife #UIOptimization

Pro tip: 𝑨𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒑𝒓𝒆-𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒔. Why? Because live demos love to betray you at the worst possible time. 😅 Here’s the typical scenario: You’re all set, audience watching, confidence level 100... then, boom! The product decides it’s 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘥.. Errors pop up out of nowhere, and suddenly, your smooth presentation becomes an impromptu debugging session. Solution? Pre-record, add some notes, and time-box it. That way, even if the tech isn’t cooperating, you can still look like a demo wizard. ✨ Because let’s face it—no one wants to be that person desperately trying to fix last-minute bugs while everyone watches. #DemoFails #TechLife #BePrepared #TechTrendsWithDivya

How 💪 powerful would it be to allow prospects an interactive playground of your product before they make a purchase decision? Pretty powerful. In fact, 💡 product demos are a consistent top five consulted resource for technology buyers (our 2024 data says they’re No. 1!). What’s really 😎 cool though, is that vendors on TrustRadius can leverage our partnerships to create demos that gives buyers the product experience they need, like this one from ScreenSpace ✦ . 👏 Find out how to create and complete a profile on our platform, start a review campaign, and unlock more in our interactive demo: https://bit.ly/4e9JpE3 #SelfServe #BuyingJourney #ProductDemo #Demos #Reviews

When do multi-flow demos make sense? After analyzing 8,800 sessions across 40 demo flows, we found: If your product showcase requires more than 12 steps due to its complexity, multi-flow demos are your best bet. Why? 👉 The first flow of a multi-flow demo achieves a 47.79% completion rate, more than double that of single-flow demos (22.63%) 👉 The second flow of a multi-flow demo maintains a 27.34% completion rate, outperforming single-flow demos by 1.2x 👉 Multi-flow demos with 3 flows (totaling 32 steps) still see higher completion rates than single-flow demos with fewer steps Our data shows that breaking down demos into smaller, manageable flows keeps users more engaged—even with more steps! For more insights on single vs multi-flow demos, check out our latest report on the Plot—our weekly column where we share data-driven insights and GTM best practices. Our speakers and panelists at Demos Reimagined have really brought the energy thus far. Chris White is wrapping up, but if you haven't joined us yet, it's not too late! We're heading into my favorite topic at 2p ET: demo fails. Join us for the stories, but most importantly how you can learn from similar experiences and turn them to triumphs! https://lnkd.in/eZh6de27
