I think PVR should have silent screenings, where the movie isn’t silent but the movie-goers are. My experience of watching Oppenheimer was ruined because someone decided to make a “joke” in the most important scene in the movie. I had even especially traveled 300 kilometers so my first time viewing was in IMAX (thank goodness I had another event to attend to as well) This is a major deterrent to people who like watching in theatres, and “silent screenings” might become a very important factor that keeps theatres an inviting place in the future. This problem will be one of the top 3 reasons why I’d consider to stop going to theatres as well. So the idea is, after the movie starts, people don’t talk or scream. If they do, they’re banned from the silent screenings for 3 months, and if they repeat, 6 months, 12 months and then permanently. I think this can easily be implemented and will be much appreciated by every movie lover. Even just one day of such screening in a week will go a long way. Gautam Dutta do consider. 🙏🏼
