Feed My Starving Children/CGI Plymouth Meeting PA Office On May 17th, an event that will resonate in the hearts of many took place, thanks to the organizational prowess of John Blazosky. In a remarkable display of community and corporate synergy, team members united with our client and other vendor partners at Del Val University. Our collective aim? To strike a blow against the scourge of hunger affecting children across the globe. The day was marked by an atmosphere of hope and determination. Together, we channeled our efforts into a cause greater than ourselves, transforming despair into hope and hunger into satisfaction. The results of our collaboration were nothing short of inspiring: 433 Boxes Packed 93,528 Meals Provided 256 Children will now have meals every day for an entire year. These numbers are not just statistics; they represent lives touched, futures brightened, and the spirit of humanity at its best. Did You Know? Hunger claims the lives of nearly half of all children under 5 years old worldwide. It’s a harrowing reality that underscores the importance of initiatives like ours. The impact of our event is a testament to what can be achieved when we come together for a common cause. As we reflect on our success, let’s carry forward the momentum. The fight against child hunger is ongoing, and it’s a battle we are committed to. Let’s continue to make a difference, one meal, one child at a time. Together, we can turn the tide against hunger. 💙 #FMSC, #cgiforgood #johnblazofsky

For the last 14 years, Denny's has raised funds toward ending childhood hunger through the generosity of our guests, which has helped us provide $13.6 million to the nonprofit No Kid Hungry since 2011. It’s an amazing community effort and a need that we don’t take lightly – donations help remove barriers that prevent kids from getting the meals they need to succeed. But one company, alone, cannot solve this critical issue across our country; it takes collective action to drive change. That’s why I am honored to share that I have joined No Kid Hungry’s CEO Pledge to End Summer Hunger. Alongside incredible leaders across industries like Darin Harris, Danny Meyer, Barry McGowan and Charles Watson, CFE, we are joining forces to help create a future where every child has access to three nutritious meals, 365 days a year. By joining this pledge, we commit to mobilize our brands by investing dollars, raising awareness, and using our platforms to help increase the number of children receiving summer meals from 2.8 million to 30 million nationwide. This pledge is a call to action to lead by example. I hope that you’ll consider joining me in this important cause to ensure a brighter future for tomorrow’s leaders. #NoKidHungry #Dennys

"As we head towards a general election, we need all political parties to recognise that the current situation for the UK’s children is unacceptable and address it. We need a commitment that more will be spent on improving the lives of babies, children and young people coupled with a pledge to transform the policy and decision-making process that impacts them." As part of the Children's Society Coalition, our CEO Anna Feuchtwang and Action for Children Barnardo's NSPCC The Children's Society explain why all political parties must commit to do more for babies, children and young people: https://lnkd.in/dmauBcY6

When someone sees my book title, “How to Save the World” and asks me, “OK, how do we do that?” I say, “It’s time to fund nonprofits to advocate more solutions. · We need more solutions to fix our public and private systems. · Our public and private systems – like education, safety, justice, employment – aren’t working well enough. · These systems mostly benefit people with similar experiences and backgrounds as those who designed them. This may or may not be intentional or malicious, only natural. · It’s also natural to want to fix systems so they perform better for more people – more people with different backgrounds and experiences. · This too must be intentional. · While fixes to public and private systems must be done from inside those systems, it’s the work of nonprofits to design solutions to be tried out, and to continually promote their implementation until good workable strategies are in place. · This promotion is the work of advocacy. · Fund advocacy.

On point! "Instead of making choices for other people, philanthropists must learn to empower individuals economically and politically to make choices for themselves and then celebrate their successes to inspire others, thus opening a far more pivotal role in fast-tracking widespread, lasting social and environmental progress." #empowermentphilanthropy #strategicphilanthropy #philanthropy #racialequity #racialjustice #economicjustice
