Today I attended the digital talk by Sandra Richter and Keith Allman, who shared their personal motivation for why they are committed to diversity, equality and inclusion at the Masco Corporation and the Hansgrohe Group. Thank you so much for sharing your very personal experiences with us in the talk. It was more than inspiring for me. Much more - it gave me confidence that I am on the right path, with my understanding of leadership and my understanding of the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion. I am one of them. I am a part-time working woman with a (temporary) #disability. My understanding of leadership? - Listening carefully - Asking questions - Offering opportunities - Celebrating success - together My success factor? - My team - Talking about my emotions, my experiences and my health limitations The relevance of diversity, equity and inclusion? - Everyone brings different perspectives to our projects and teams, each shaped by their experiences but also sometimes by their limitations. - We work on projects as equals with our international colleagues and take them with us on our journey. Together we bring them to success. - The team is very close-knit. We share challenges and problems and look for solutions together. All of this makes us incredibly strong and creative as a team. After all, successes are better celebrated together than alone. Thank you Hansgrohe for allowing me to fulfill my leadership role at Hansgrohe in this way and that I can continue to work on the topic of diversity, equity and inclusion.
