What’s better than a midday work break? A break filled with puppy snuggles🐾 As part of Wellness Week, our associates enjoyed Puppy Therapy with adorable, adoptable pups. This event also made a difference by supporting Schultz's Guest House, a local dog rescue. #PuppyTherapy #NationalWellnessMonth

✔Benefits list - Dog friendly office?... ...Yes please!😁 It has become an increasing trend for companies to list a "Dog Friendly office" as a benefit on their JD's. Though this may not mean anything to some people, or even incite fear in others, this is actually more important than you may think. It's not just a good excuse to leave your desk (doggie needs a walk, cuddle, food, a blanket, a motivational talk etc). ♥There are major mental health benefits having a dog around provides. It is proven by numerous studies to help with anxiety, companionship, loneliness, emotional regulation and coping skills - there are professional therapy dogs for a reason! 👉🏽However, if we are to look at the more practical reason for the benefit; speaking to candidates since 2020 (I won't use the official name of that time period), I have had so many individuals say to me that they have got a dog now, since they have been working from home, and they need to consider the expense of daycare/dog walkers etc if they are to go back into an office a few days a week or more. So it isn't just a 'nice to have' anymore- it's actually a need to have. ❓If a company lists a dog friendly office, would that encourage you to go into the office a lot more? ⚠Note: this is our very loved and spoiled office dog Barrie. Also, shoutout to Butternut Box | B Corp and Lily's Kitchen for fueling Barrie (not a paid post). 🔥And yes, I do want to see pictures of your office dog!!! #officefun #officedog #officedogs #jobdescription #jd #benefits #recruitment #recruitmentagency #digitalrecruitment #talentacquisition #talentteam #therapy #therapydogs #therapydog #mentalhealth

HAVE YOU BROUGHT YOUR DOG IN TO WORK TODAY? Would you bring your dog to work? It's National Take Your Dog to Work Day (oh yes it is!!!), celebrated annually on the Friday following Father’s Day (June 21). There are many benefits of having dogs at work. Having dogs at work releases oxytocin, a neurochemical that reduces anxiety and stress. When you've got a dog by your side, your heart rate decreases, your blood pressure reduces, and your heart rate variability improves. Bringing pet dogs into the workplace is a practice that is becoming increasingly common across the globe as ‘canine colleagues' have been shown, in numerous studies, to contribute to a pleasant and productive working atmosphere in the office. Woof!! #Psychology #MentalHealth https://lnkd.in/d2YhZEBh

🚀 Yesterday was a fantastic day spent off-site meeting with some valued clients! 🌟 We were able to engage in meaningful conversations about their goals, challenges, and how we can continue to support their success. There's nothing quite like face-to-face interactions to build stronger relationships and gain deeper insights into their need! Willis loved spending the day with her pals at Doggy Daycare PS. Is it okay to post a picture of someone else's Dog? (Willis is the Cockapoo) haha #ClientMeetings #OffSite #RelationshipBuilding #ClientSuccess #Teamwork

Happy 'Bring Your Dog to Work Day'! 🐾 Since the ADCH central team works from home, every day is #BringYourDogToWorkDay for us! While remote work has its perks, it can sometimes feel lonely. Here's Hurley, the loyal companion of our Membership Services Coordinator, Ellie, to explain why dogs are great buddies for home workers: 1️⃣ Reduced stress - Dogs can help alleviate stress levels and create a relaxed environment. 2️⃣ Physical activity - Dogs ensure you take regular breaks for walks and playtime. 3️⃣ Social interaction - Dogs are the best conversation starters, from chatting with other dog owners, to apologising when they shout at the delivery driver. 4️⃣ The best listeners - Dogs offer you their unconditional trust and loyalty, with a non-judgmental ear for those extra tough days. If you also work from home and want a WFH buddy, use our 'Find a Rescue' tool to locate an ADCH member near you and improve a rescue dog's life as much as they can improve yours🐶💼➡ https://lnkd.in/dMqHEYNu #togetherfordogsandcats

Do you remember those Tamagotchi pets we used to carry around as kids? 🐣 We'd feed them, play with them, and clean up after them to keep them happy and healthy. Well, guess what? In a quirky way, we're all a bit like those digital pets, especially when it comes to our mental health. 🧠💕 Just like our pixelated pals needed regular care, we need to nourish our minds, engage in activities that bring us joy, and tidy up our mental space from the clutter of stress and negativity. And just like a Tamagotchi, if we don't get that care, we don't thrive. 🌟 But here's where the analogy gets even better – we're not solitary creatures. We have the incredible ability to look after each other, too! In the workplace and in our daily lives, it's vital to support one another on our quest for better mental health care. 🤝 Here's how we can 'play the game' of well-being together: Check-In: Just like checking on your Tamagotchi, ask your colleagues how they're doing. A genuine conversation can be the equivalent of a 'care button' for someone's day. 🗨️ Share the Load: If you see someone struggling, offer a helping hand. Sometimes, sharing tasks can be like sharing the burden of digital pet care – it's easier and more fun when done together! 🤗 Encourage Breaks: We all need to pause and recharge, just like a Tamagotchi needs a nap. Encourage taking breaks to prevent burnout. 🛌 Celebrate Wins: Just like we celebrated our Tamagotchi's milestones, let's celebrate our own and each other's achievements, no matter how small. 🎉 Offer Resources: Share tools and resources for mental health, like you'd share tips and tricks for the best Tamagotchi care. Knowledge sharing is caring! 📚 So, let's not forget to tend to our own needs and the needs of those around us. By doing so, we're not just winning at the game of life; we're creating a community of care that can lead to a happier, healthier workplace and world. 🌍 Who's ready to be the best Tamagotchi caretaker out there? Let's do this – for ourselves and each other! 🚀 #MentalHealth #CommunityCare #WorkplaceWellness #TeamSupport #ThrowbackThursday
