📣 The 2024 Paralympics Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024 are underway in Paris, and we wanted to recognize the athletes competing in this year’s Games. From paracycling to wheelchair basketball, each event demonstrates the resilience and determination of the athletes who have surmounted great challenges to reach this elite stage.   Some noteworthy details about this year’s Paralympics:     📺 For the first time in history, all 22 Paralympic sports will be broadcast live ➡️ Viewers in the US can tune into NBC News   ➡️ France Télévisions will provide 24-hour coverage in the host country   ➡️️ In the UK, Channel 4 is planning its biggest ever broadcast with more than 1,300 hours of live broadcast 🇫🇷 Athletes will compete at various iconic locations in Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, the Chateau de Versailles, and the Grand Palais.  🏅 More than 4,000 athletes are participating from a record 168 delegations, with record number of female athletes.  As a company dedicated to empowering those with spinal cord injury through movement, function, and independence, we celebrate the Paralympics for highlighting strength, innovation, and the power of possibility. ✨  To learn more about the Paralympics and how to watch, click on the link below.   #EmpoweringMovement #SCI #Paralympics2024      https://lnkd.in/gkXuHghG

𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭: The Indian Paralympics team is just 3 medals away from a remarkable milestone of 30 medals in a Paralympics event. This is the best performance of our Paralympic team ever in a Paralympic event.🔥. Something I repeat a lot is no one can visualise anymore. There are some exceptions of course... but being able to see what the 3D environment will look like in the future is key to making fast and accurate decision making. 12 years ago, a French group of roller skaters and wheelchair users arrived in London for the Paralympic Games. Inspired by their spirit, Wheels and Wheelchairs was born. 12 years later, and we are looking to do an extraordinary challenge to celebrate the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. We're thrilled to announce that we are planning on skating from Brighton to Paris over four incredible days, from Saturday, August 24th, to Wednesday, August 28th. This journey isn't just a physical challenge; it's a testament to the strength, community, inclusivity and resilience that defines us. We're aiming to include at least six wheelchair users and a minimum of 40 skaters, supported by a team of volunteers and support vehicles. While we've undertaken similar challenges in the past, this adventure holds a special place in our hearts, symbolising how far we've come and we guess could say everything's coming full circle. We're on the lookout for sponsors and support to make this monumental challenge a success.
