Check out our latest article in Food Business News—Replacing Red 40: Natural Alternatives Amid Changing Regulations We dive headfirst into the latest ban updates surrounding colour additives and provide solutions for natural alternatives, such as Amaize® Orange-Red. "Our new product that we just launched at IFT this year was developed to be more orange-red, similar to red radish but without the vegetal taste and aroma." said Katie Rountree, CFS. "That makes it a great choice for developers who are looking for natural alternatives to red 40 with a simple label and a neutral taste, especially with the changing regulatory landscape in the US.” Read now: https://lnkd.in/gkZZvmeV #foodscience #foodandbeverage #foodinnovation #culinary #naturalcolors #RTD #confections #candy #sweets #red40 #red3 #yellow5 #yellow6 #blue1 #blue2

Would you eat edible insects if it was available to buy from your local store? 🤔 According to new food manufacturing research by Gitnux Market Data with people becoming more interested in sustainable sources of protein, there’s been a surge in new food products made from insects. But why insects? Well, Eat Grub Ltd leader in healthy insect snacks, states that “Insects are delicious, nutritious and sustainable. They are high in protein and - as you’ll see - use less of our precious planet’s resources to farm.” You can’t argue with that – if it’s better for our planet and our gut, then there’s no reason not to try it. Will you be trying edible insects anytime soon? 🌱 Just received our weekly shopping, and I'm delighted to report that our "organic wonky cucumbers" have arrived! But to be honest, I had to look twice to spot any wonkiness. They seem pretty perfect to me! 🥒 It's heartening to see major supermarkets embracing "wonky" or "deformed" veggies. This movement helps reduce food waste and ensures that perfectly good produce doesn't get tossed just because it doesn't look perfect. But here's a thought – instead of focusing on imperfections, shouldn't we just be paying our farmers fairly for the quality of the food they produce? 👩🌾👨🌾 Farmers work tirelessly to provide us with nutritious, delicious food. When we nitpick about slight imperfections, we inadvertently make their jobs harder and undervalue their hard work. By appreciating produce for its taste and nutritional value rather than its appearance, we can support our farmers better and promote a more sustainable food system. 🌍💚 I challenge you to find the issues with my cucumbers – see photo below. Let's celebrate all produce, wonky or not! 🌟 #SupportFarmers #FoodForThought #SustainableEating #WonkyVeg

#Eco30challenge . Review,Plant based foods are those food we eat to get energy and complete diet in our daily life. Most of the food we consume are plant based foods for example beans, rice, cassava, maize, yam, wheat etc, fruits like orange, mango, cashew, apple strawberry etc and vegetables such as spinach, lettuce, cabbage, carrot, cucumber pumpkin leaves, etc. These and more plants food are what we feed on for sustainable and healthy life. Those that feed on diary food alone have to cut it down for the sake of their health and our environmental sustainability.

The greatest luxury I treat my toddlers to? Eating real food! 🍐😍 If it's asymmetrical, half rotten and full of worms, it's probably the best fruit and veg you can get out there. Not to mention, it costs £0. ☑️ Living the urban, metropolitan, cosmopolitan life with plastic-wrapped food as the primary option? No, fenks! A 40 m deep well is all it takes to produce enough fresh food for an extended family of 8. The watering effort is about 30 minutes a day. The benefits - all of the above plus a solid #netzero and #sustainability improvement. #organicfood #biofood #bio #organic #thenewluxury
