“If I have to describe the India-US relationship in a single word, I will say we are natural allies. I think the relationship between India and US, and the two countries themselves, have played an enormously important role and continue to play an important role in strengthening democratic values all over the world.”- Prime Minister Narendra Modi India is the world’s largest democracy and the United States is the world’s oldest. The relations between both of them have seen constant ups and down. These relations have not just been a result of bilateral arrangements and conditions but also because of various multilateral factors. In this paper I have tried to highlight not only the evolving relations between both countries over these years but also most importantly the recent areas of cooperation such as #climatechange,#cleanenergy ,#defence,#indopacific, etc. I have also provided some recommendations on how both countries can improve and increase their cooperation in these areas. It is often said that in India people do not cast their vote but vote for their caste. The politics of Tamil Nadu is a classic example of this. Caste is well ingrained in the politics of Tamil Nadu right from the Non- Brahmin movement upto the present times. Various communities like Vanniyars, Nadar, Mudaliars and Gounders vote for their respective political party and are loyal to them. In this research paper I analyse the caste dynamics of the political parties of Tamil Nadu as well as the results of 2019 Lok Sabha and 2021 Assembly elections.
