This is $2400 worth of office chairs purchased for about $1100. Barely used and headed to the Kinesis office. The dealer told me he had more if I needed them. I asked, “how many more?” About 450. I thought it apt to take this photo in front of this new construction. Many of Portland’s premier offices are 50% occupied (or less). The next few years will be very challenging for commercial real estate, especially when payments rely on pre-pandemic occupancy levels AND interest rates. 😱 If you’re a tenant or looking for space, you’ll see an environment unlike anything in the last 20 years.

I'm very comfortable and happy in my new dedicated office at NedSpace in the Union Bank Tower, and saving about 90% on rent compared to my old lease which (thank goodness) ends in November.

And let’s face it. There is very little love lost between tenants and landlords of commercial space. It is unlikely any prospective tenants will (or should) pay asking price.

Dennis, the owner of NW Office Liquidators, who is a polite and professional gentleman, and I reached a very amicable agreement on his team liquidating all my old office furniture. Our high end office chairs were the only reason he could make any return on investment for taking all our furniture to one of his many warehouses. Also, his moving team was amazing and very professional as well.

Nice chairs and nice "truck" ;) Can't go wrong with a Ridgeline for an everyday runaround vehicle, they are great!

Very true... tenants are in the driver's seat and unfortunately most real estate brokers and firms are not built to take full advantage of it for their clients. Sad!

Nice work on the "gently used" furniture. With all those empty offices, they've probably only seen a few hours of seat time. It's a bargain AND sustainable. (Stanford knows those are two of my favorite words)
