As I reminisce back a few years, I can only remain incredibly thankful to HER for several opportunities and challenges SHE planted.
Every now and then, I reminisce moments to have worked with an extremely energetic, dedicated and highly talented team. Here are four lessons I can share from my experience;
A. Clarity in Vision and Purity in Visualisation: Clarity alone does not suffice. Purity is a MUST. Should your team catch you ill-intended, you will be left with only yes-men and opportunists. They give their soul if they found you pure. (A reflection on an incident with the team questioning my rapid scaling-up of the programs)
B. Select Soul achievers and not just Goal achievers: Goals are taken care of when you have soul winners. Give priority to the nature of the individual rather than just ability (A reflection of the choices I made in selecting several of my team members).
C. Empower not the Devourer: Bhagwan Ram's strength was vanara sena, predominantly protectors. Ravana's strength was his army, which was predominantly devourers. Guess you understood.
Hence, know the individuals before you take them. Once you choose to empower, believe and support them to the best of your ability. (Reflection on the choices I made)
D. Every grain is great: Never ignore any team member. I kept telling everyone that hierarchies are notional and work is equal. This belief paid so many dividends that I cannot express (Example; a brilliant idea that an office assistant offered in a Kaizen contest I started and, when implemented, solved a significant hurdle and built efficiency)
Positions are short-lived, Teams are for ever. When you put your soul and good intent, remain thankful forever to your teams that help to fructify despite several hurdles.
