We are SO excited to announce that we raised $717,347.91 during our annual July Sheetz For the Kidz campaign, beating last year's campaign by almost 60k 🎉
Thank you so much to our incredible Sheetz fam and our Sheetz Freakz for making it happen. We couldn't do it without the assistance of our epic employees, who are just as dedicated to giving back to our local communities as we are ❤️

Marketing communication specialist with a passion for CPG. My expertise spans across digital marketing, content creation, brand management and campaign optimization. “Marketing is all about the “art of the ‘and’. “ 😉
Over the weekend, I was able to celebrate the work of the Indiana University Dance Marathon in 2023 ahead of Indiana’s clash against Penn State at Simon Skojdt Assembly Hall.
While I have been transitioning out of my post as the Director of Corporate Relations over the past few months, I wanted to reflect on some of the lessons I learned from my tenure.
1. Relationships Matter - Establishing and nurturing robust connections is essential for effective leadership, especially when working collaboratively with a diverse set of individuals. In my role, this involved 22 other student leaders on the executive council, 7 chairpersons and 60+ committee members on my committee, and a portfolio of numerous businesses from across the nation. Fostering positive relationships with each of these groups is crucial, as it plays a vital role in achieving our common goal of contributing to lifesaving efforts for kids in need at Riley Hospital for Children. The utilization of authentic connections served as a pivotal factor in attaining shared objectives between stakeholders.
2. Be Decisive - Being decisive entails not only making informed and timely choices but also acting proactively based on data. Striking a balance between gathering sufficient information and avoiding prolonged decision-making processes is essential for progress. A decisive leader showcases confidence and clarity in their choices, fostering momentum and direction for the team. This approach not only instills a sense of purpose but also encourages proactive decision-making among team members.
3. Keep The Faith - Maintaining a positive and optimistic mindset, especially during challenging times, is crucial for leadership. Believing in the mission and vision of your organization can inspire others and help overcome obstacles. Acknowledging the highest of highs and the lowest of lows over the course of my tenure on the executive council added depth to this perspective. It was a year filled with both triumphs and tribulations.
The journey, however, became meaningful through the unwavering support of my colleagues. Standing by each other during tough times and celebrating victories together forged a strong sense of camaraderie. While the frustrations of unproductive efforts were present, this collective perseverance made every endeavor worthwhile. In the end, the elation of celebrating the accomplishment of raising over $3 million for lifesaving healthcare with my best friends eclipsed everything, making the entire experience incredibly fulfilling.
My time in IUDM was truly the best thing that has ever happened to me. It made me a better marketer, better leader, and most importantly, a better man.
I will always look fondly at my time in the organization and I am incredibly grateful to FORVIS, Allied Solutions LLC, Solution Tree, Graduate Hotels, Mom Water, HospitalRecruiting, Papa Johns, and countless other partners for their generous support over the years.
Go Hoosiers and FTK!
Before the tip-off at today's Indiana University Bloomington men’s basketball game, I had the honor of participating in the Indiana University Dance Marathon check presentation to Riley Children's Health. Together, we celebrated the incredible achievement of our IUDM students, who raised just over $3 million for the kids at Riley during last year's event while also reflecting on the remarkable 30+ year journey of IUDM, contributing over $50 million to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

My Client Raised £500K After Years of Struggle
After years of relentless effort, one of my clients faced the harsh reality: their full-time fundraiser had generated a big fat zero in capital. Despite all their hard work and dedication, they just couldn't break through.
That's when we stepped in to revamp their communications strategy. With a fresh perspective and a clear message, everything changed. In their FIRST investor meeting post-revamp, they raised £500K!
This crucial capital injection allowed them to bring their product to market, and within a short span, they hit a remarkable £2M ARR.
The key takeaway? Often, when you're deeply entrenched in your own challenges, it's hard to see the solution. Sometimes, an external perspective is all you need to unlock the potential that's been there all along.
Proud to have been part of this transformative journey. #startupsuccess#fundraising#communicationsstrategy#businessgrowth
Less than four days to go!
It’s the last week of February and that means it’s the last week of our 164 Mile Challenge.
Make sure you upload your miles to the leaderboard by midnight on Thursday and please get your sponsorship money in as soon as possible. So far, we've raised just under £9,000 but we know there's more to come. Don't forget, every penny raised is vital to help us support local families with sick children.

Week 5 of fundraising.
This is me, with my 2 kids, playing in a playhouse that is clearly way too cramped (and not COVID friendly)
Sometimes you have to suck up your ego and just go in the playhouse.
Moving on… 😊
Starting to see some strong movement on our round:
- 2 leads in due dil phase
- 2 potential Lead Investors
- 4 waiting on us to confirm a Lead
- Iteration #6 of our deck
Interested in playing in our playgroynd?
DM me for more details and our pitch deck! 🙏🏻

🌟 We’re halfway through STEPtember, and the leaderboards are heating up! 🌟
Together, we've raised an amazing $3,801.72 and taken an incredible 1,994,194 steps! 💚
Featured below, our top fundraisers and top steppers, including our very own CEO who shared some inspiring words about his journey so far:
"This is not an easy thing to do. I've found that it's really taken something for me to reach my daily goal (10,000 steps) and at times I've had to hold myself accountable and motivate myself to go for another walk, when I'd much prefer to relax on the couch or go to bed. On reflection, now that I'm getting more exercise than normal, it's actually getting easier and I feel more positive overall. Lets support one another to make it to the end of the month and beyond."
How’s your STEPtember going? Let's keep moving together! 💪
