🎉 Excited to Share My First Unity C# Project! 🎉 I’m thrilled to present my very first project in Unity using C# – a simple yet fully functional Calculator! 🖥️🔢 The calculator comes with all the basic features, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. But I’ve also added some cool extra features to make it more user-friendly: ✨ Key Features: 1. Negative/Positive Toggle: Easily switch a number between positive and negative with a single button. 2. Slide-in Options Panel: A clean, smooth panel slides down from the top when you click the options button. You can close it with a dedicated button, making navigation more intuitive. 3. Dark Mode/Light Mode: The calculator offers a theme toggle, so users can switch between dark and light modes seamlessly. 4. Duplicate Handling: Prevents duplicate entries of operators and decimals – you can only use them once where needed. 5. Clear & Erase Functions: Includes a "Clear All" button to reset the calculator and a "Single Digit Erase" button for correcting mistakes without starting over. Building this project taught me a lot about C#, Unity UI handling, and polishing user interactions. It was a rewarding learning experience, and I'm excited to keep growing as a developer! Feel free to check it out – I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback! 🚀 https://lnkd.in/dZh7q4XQ #Unity #CSharp #FirstProject #Calculator #GameDevelopment #Programming #TechJourney #LearningToCode #DarkMode #UIUX

As a game dev or aspiring game dev, it might be worth considering similar fields. For example. If you’re a Unity game developer, you also have the skills to be a Unity enterprise developer. While the economy in general is taking a hit, with games feeling it quite a bit, it may be good to open your horizons in the meantime. Be less picky. Your dream job is limited by what you can imagine. So, I’d recommend be ok with trying different things. Especially now when it’s generally harder to find a job. As a Unity developer who’s made both games and enterprise apps, I can almost guarantee that it’s 90% the exact same time of work. Try it. What’s the worst that could happen? #gamesindustry #careercoaching #growth #mindset #enterprise

Hey, Unity Developers! I need your insights! ✍️ What methods do you find effective for storing information?🗃️ What are your preferred methods to track one-time events, ensuring, for instance, completing a tutorial level and ensuring that the tutorial content doesn't reappear in subsequent plays or other levels. For all types of data storage I am using Playerprefs. Is it ok to use them? #gamedevelopment #unitydevelopment #unityengine #unitygames #unitydevelopers #unity3d #unity2d #letsgrowtogether #gameindustry #socialsaturday #unitydeveloper #gameplay #gamedev #gamedeveloper

🎉 Excited to Announce: I am now a certified Unity Junior Programmer! 🎉 After completing the Unity Junior Programmer Pathway, I am thrilled to have gained a strong foundation in game development and programming concepts. This journey has equipped me with essential skills and knowledge, enabling me to confidently embark on my own game development projects. Highlights of My Learning Journey: 🕹 Player Control & Basic Gameplay: Started with the fundamentals, learning to implement player movement, control mechanics, and basic gameplay logic. My first project allowed me to dive into programming with hands-on practice in Unity. 🔊 Sound & Effects: Developed a game where a player dodges obstacles, complete with sound effects and particle effects. This taught me how to integrate audio and visual feedback, enhancing the player's experience. 🎮 User Interface (UI) Design: Created a game similar to Fruit Ninja, incorporating UI elements like title screens, level selectors, and game-over screens. This project introduced me to user interaction design and game flow management. 💾 Data Persistence: Implemented data persistence in a brick breaker game, where high scores and player data were stored in a JSON file and persisted across game sessions. I also learned to transfer data between different scenes, adding depth to gameplay. 🛠 Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Gained a deep understanding of OOP principles like Abstraction, Inheritance, Polymorphism, and Encapsulation. These concepts were crucial in structuring my code efficiently for future projects. 🌐 Version Control with GitHub: Learned to manage and collaborate on projects using version control, a key skill for any developer. This certification marks the beginning of my journey in game development. I'm excited to apply these skills to create innovative and engaging games. 🎮 A big thank you to Unity for providing such a comprehensive learning pathway! #Unity #GameDevelopment #Programming #OOP #DataPersistence #UI #VersionControl #LearningJourney
