It's safe to say that humanity has had a love affair with beer for a long time. And when we say long, we're talking thousands of years. A few things have changed though. Where once we guzzled simple ale out of goat skins and clay pots. Now, you can crack open a cold one straight from the bottle, but if you want the full experience — the flavors, the aromas, the craftsmanship — you're going to need the right glass. If you don't know your snifters from your tulips, or which is the best glass for craft beer, here's a list of 14 types of beer glasses, and what to pour into them. https://hubs.la/Q02psHbl0

As always brillant and delicious.
Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish is our fifth edition in the Barrel Select Release series which explores the flavours that arise from different cask finishes. Previously, we’ve used Cognac, Malaga, Palo Cortado, and Amontillado casks which added a twist to Glenmorangie’s classic notes of peach and orange. Calvados is distilled from apples and/or pears and their casks give this dram scents of jasmine and elegant orchards with flavours of toffee apples, lemon balsam and spice. Have a taste and let me know what you think - which is your favourite in Glenmorangie’s Barrel Select Release series? #Glenmorangie #Calvados #LimitedEdition #DrinkResponsibly

Why Glass Rim Width Matters! The glass is almost as important to the experience as the wine poured into it. From the shape and size of the bowl to the thickness of the rim, the design of the glass is long renowned for having the ability to either enhance or ruin a wine's taste. Here's what you need to know: 1️⃣ Narrow Rims: They send the wine straight to the tip of your tongue, where you can really taste the zing of acidity and the burst of fruit flavors. It's like the glass helps the wine to whisper its secrets to you, making sure you catch every note of freshness and fruitiness. 2️⃣ Wide Rims: They allow the wine to unfold its complexity, revealing the smooth dance of tannins and the wine's full body. It's like the wine is giving you a warm hug, showing off its depth and structure in full. Why does this matter? Well, the way a wine interacts with your palate can change your entire experience of it. The right glass can turn a good wine into an extraordinary one, just by enhancing its best features and allowing you to appreciate its full palette of flavors. 🍷Is a universal glass suitable for all beer styles a myth? Numerous attempts have been made in the past to create the perfect glass. While perfection may not exist, the pursuit of it certainly does. A collaboration between the Brussels Beer Challenge and the Belgian Tradyglass has resulted in the Brussels Beer Challenge tasting glass, a solution for sampling various beer styles. We started with the following basic rules: 1️⃣Simplicity is not easy to maintain. Therefore, the glass should be modest/simple yet elegant in design. 2️⃣The glass must be strikingly discreet. The true art is not the glass, but what is inside it. 3️⃣The glass should display the art that flows into it in the most beautiful way. This means a glass that respects the color, allows the aroma to blossom, and offers a discreet 'Touch' when drinking the noble liquid so fine it seems as if the glass isn't there. 4️⃣Durability is very important to us. The glass must also be sturdy and able to withstand multiple washes perfectly. 🔝The result is an elegant and strong glass that brings out the best in all beer styles. The aromas and flavors of the beer are exceptionally well-preserved due to the shape of the glass. 🌲🌿 🍋 🍯The aromas are retained, and the influence of the environment is minimized by a small bend at the top of the glass. 👃The curvature at the bottom of the glass ensures that the aromas are released when swirling. 👄The thin rim guarantees a subtle sensation on the lips, a silky caress to the lips is part of the experience. 🙌The elegant stem is comfortable in the hand and prevents warming of the noble drink. It's always painful when the person who cooked says first, "Tasty, isn't it?" But we are proud of our creation 💪 We provide your beers with the best conditions of assessments 👍 🖥️ Entries are open on our website until October 7th (early bird rate until August 15th). Check it out! 👀 #craftbeer #beer #Brussels #Belgium #goldmedal #brusselsbeerchallenge #silvermedal #bronzemedal #beercompetition #bestbeer

Do you think the shape of a wine glass really matters❓ 🔗 Link in Bio https://lnkd.in/drZBjX7 🥂 On CTV’s The Social, we conducted the ultimate taste test with the hosts. Follow above link or check bio for the video. 🐽 Even after I started learning about wine, I’d always secretly believed that varietal-specific stemware was an unnecessary expense, fueled by snobs and glassware companies. 👃 Then one evening, a friend poured some Bordeaux for me in a large, elegant glass at a dinner party. As soon as the gorgeous aromas wafted up from the wine, I realized what I’d been missing. 📢 Good glasses are like subtle amplifiers: their shape, volume, bowl shape and size, and rim diameter enhance a wine’s inherent qualities. The glass doesn’t change the wine itself, just the way we smell and taste it. 1️⃣ Start with one white wine glass: those with a narrow bowl , such as the sauvignon blanc glass, can accommodate most styles of white wine. 🍷 For reds, choose a glass with wider bowl to accommodate the robust aromas of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, shiraz and zinfandel. ⚠ Pay particular attention to the rim of the glasses. Thick or rolled rims act like speed bumps, essentially spilling the wine into the mouth. 🤤 Thin, straight rims spread the liquid evenly across the tongue and a broad section of the palate. That’s ideal for the prolonged pleasure of wine. Does the shape of your wine glass matter to you ❓ Let me know in the comments below 👇 #Natdecants #wine #wineglass #cheers #sommelier #winetime #winenot #wineeducation #winetasting #winelover #winewriter #wineblog #vino #vin

Ever wondered why we hold glasses by the stem? It’s to avoid getting fingerprints on the glass and to keep the drink cool. Here’s a simple guide: 1. Red Wine Glass: Bigger to let the wine breathe. 2. Water Goblet: A large glass for water. 3. White Wine Glass: Smaller to keep the wine cold. 4. Champagne Flute: Tall and thin to keep the bubbles. Hold the stem to keep your drink clean and fresh! #WineEtiquette #TableManners #FineDining #RedWineGlass #WhiteWineGlass #ChampagneFlute #WaterGoblet #Stemware #DiningEtiquette #ElegantDining #GlasswareGuide #EtiquetteTips #DrinkProperly #SophisticatedDining #ProperManners #PriaWarrickFinishingAcademy #PriaWarrick
