October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. As a board member of Women In Transition (WIT), a non-profit that empowers people to move forward in their lives free of domestic and substance abuse, this cause is very personal to me. Throughout the month I will be sharing facts and events to help support victims of abuse and the WIT community. By acknowledging this reality, we can collectively work towards ending domestic violence and creating safe, healthy communities for everyone. Here are some things to consider to ensure your HR department is in top shape: Are you experiencing higher-than-average turnover rates? This could signal underlying issues in management, engagement, or benefits. Is your HR team up to date with all legal requirements and regulations? Non-compliance can lead to costly fines and reputational damage. Are your employees engaged and motivated? Low engagement often leads to decreased productivity and high turnover. Are HR processes streamlined and efficient, or are they bogged down by outdated systems and practices? Do you offer continuous training and development opportunities?
