Hey dear friends, as those holiday recaps start filling up your feed, here’s something to keep in mind. Scrolling through all those picture-perfect holiday posts can easily make you feel like you’re not doing enough. But remember—social media is just a highlight reel. People aren’t posting about the lumpy potatoes, the burnt pie, or the family argument during dinner. So don’t let what you see online make you feel like you’re falling short. The real magic of the season is in the moments we share offline, imperfections and all. Focus on what truly matters to you, not what looks good on social media. I hope the latest blog post serves as a gentle reminder to focus on the true gift this holiday season—your peace and well-being. Holiday reminder: 🎄 🎁 If your household is anything like mine, the holiday season is a time for festive cheer—good food, family gatherings, and an opportunity to unplug from the busyness of life. As wonderful as this time of year can be, it’s also a challenging season for many. Some may be missing loved ones, facing financial struggles, or coping with the emotional weight of seasonal lows. Beyond exchanging gifts and sharing seasonal greetings, take a moment to check in on those around you. A few thoughtful words or genuine questions can bring more meaning than you might imagine.

We all know Christmas is meant to be the most wonderful time of the year, but let’s be honest – it can also be a little spicy. With family, festive drinks and long-simmering dynamics all under one roof (not to mention the endless to-do lists), it’s no wonder the holiday magic feels a bit frayed when you’re the glue holding it all together. Here’s our advice: lower your expectations – then lower them again. The house will be chaotic, the kids will argue over the remote and the in-laws will definitely have opinions about, well, everything. But here’s the thing: accepting the hot mess as part of the deal unlocks the freedom to enjoy the moments that truly matter. The glimmers, like: ✨ Older kids delighting in caring for the little ones, all laughing hysterically together. ✨ A spontaneous visit to a quirky country pub, sharing chips and mulled wine while a fiddler plays in the corner. ✨ Cosying up to watch Home Alone for the billionth time. Wishing you and your loved ones peace, joy and just the right amount of salty chaos this Christmas. #SaltAndSageStorytelling #HonestBranding #ContentThatConnects #StorytellingForBrands #SellWithoutTheCringe #WordsThatConvert #RealConnections

Ground Your Identity in the Christmas Rush! Be who YOU choose to be... How quickly does December turn into “silly season” with a whirlwind of work deadlines, social obligations, and holiday planning. It’s easy to feel pulled in all directions, leaving little time to connect with your true self. But amidst this chaos, self-reflection isn’t indulgent; it’s essential to aligning your actions with your authentic self. It’s about making choices that resonate with who you truly are. At work, this might mean setting boundaries to preserve your energy. Personally, it may mean choosing meaningful activities over over-extending yourself. Create your clarity compass in the face of December’s demands. As the year wraps up, let self-reflection and authenticity be your guiding lights; tools to thrive, not just survive the holiday season. Be ready to greet 2025 grounded and true to yourself, feeling like the treasured gift rather than the discarded wrapper!

When you say yes to one thing, what are you saying no to? If you say yes to attending the Christmas party, you are saying no to a cozy evening watching Netflix. Being mindful about what we say no to by saying "yes" can help guide our decisions and boundaries. Here are some reflection questions I included in my weekly "Momentum Muse" newsletter (coming out tomorrow). It's a check-in on how last week went, and what your priorities and intentions for this week are. - Reflect on what you’ve said no to already by saying yes to something else. How do you feel about the choice? - What’s something you really want to say yes to? How can you protect time and space for it? - How can you prepare to handle holiday boundary-pushers ("Just one more cookie," or "You have to join us!")? - When was the last time you felt peace and ease during the holidays? What boundary supported that? - What would your ideal holiday season look like if your boundaries were respected? --- Here's one idea you could say yes to: a sample 60 minute coaching session with me to explore what boundaries you want to set this holiday season. Send me a message to learn more.

The Christmas season is often described as a time of joy and connection, but for many, it can also bring challenges. Financial pressures, long to-do lists, and complicated family dynamics can make this time of year feel overwhelming. Here’s a gentle reminder: you don’t have to do it all. 🎄 Be mindful of financial stress: Gift-giving isn’t about the price tag. Meaningful gestures like writing a heartfelt card or sharing homemade treats can go a long way. 🎄 Navigate social dynamics with care: If family or social interactions feel heavy, set small boundaries where you can. For example, limit the length of visits or take breaks to step outside for fresh air. 🎄 Give yourself permission to rest: It’s okay to say no to that extra party or event. Create time for activities that nourish you, like listening to your favorite music, reading, or simply doing nothing at all. This season, let self-care be part of your holiday tradition. Remember, you deserve peace and presence as much as anyone else. Take care, and may your Christmas bring moments of joy and calm. #selfcare #selfcompassion #boundaries
