The key part to this is? "Designed to grow with our initiatives"... Having a 'completed' view of CSR isn't practical or beneficial. CSR, and the intentions falling within it, are never truly completed. They evolve 🌱 How do you stay responsive to the world around you if you're reviewing your efforts and impact on a 6/12-month basis? You also don't need to be at the endpoint, to share your progress. At Murray we're making sustainable changes so that we stick to them, grow them and add to them. This is our starting point, highlighting our most recent efforts. It's easy for many companies to just add a "round-up your purchase" or small donation option to the end of a transaction, and call it a day on charitable giving, because they ticked that box. LUSH takes it so many steps further. LUSH finds small non-profit organizations, provides them with a platform or campaign to spotlight their cause, and creates unique, limited edition products to encourage donations. 100% of the proceeds (after tax) of limited edition products, and year-round staples like Charity Pot lotion are actively supporting groups that fight for human rights, animal rights, and environmental causes. It's always lush to see people (relatively) new to fundraising realise that that they know way more than they think they do. Bravo to the small but mighty fundraising team at Guts UK Charity for an excellent showing at our Supporter Journeys workshop this week. Giving supporters a great experience isn't necessarily common sense, but if you're a warm and caring person (and aren't we all warm and caring people here in the charidee sector?) then it comes pretty naturally. It doesn't need to take long (or cost the earth) to train a team for supporter journey awesomeness: - A quick run around CX theory - Some fun building a pick-n-mix welcome journey (Woolworth's nostalgia) - A speedy hack for creating an annual comms plan - And still time to write a wee action list (most important) - what a fab morning! Aaaand there were home-made brownies (optional, but definitely performance-enhancing). We only spent half a day together but I'm confident this little team is going to achieve amazing things for their supporters when they apply their new knowledge.
