Who's seen the new Blue Angels documentary?! Or better yet, who's seen them IRL?? For those who don’t know, the Blue Angels are the United States Navy's flight demonstration squadron. Watching these incredibly skilled pilots soar through the skies with precision and teamwork was nothing short of inspiring. Thank you Ashley Liu Kirkman for the movie recommendation! Three takeaways from the Blue Angels documentary: 1. Excellence over Perfection: There was a line in the movie, "We’re not going to get to perfection, but we’re going to get to excellence." Perfection is a lofty goal, but excellence is achievable and sustainable. 2. Gratitude and Team Spirit: The pilots often say "glad to be here," a simple phrase that carries a lot of weight. It's a reminder to appreciate the opportunity to work with an amazing team. 3. Attention to Detail: The Blue Angels fly as close as 18 inches apart at more than 400 mph, where precision and trust are everything. This attention to detail ensures their performances are safe and spectacular. Similarly, in work, paying attention to the little things can make a big difference.
