🚗 Driver Awareness Event at Boringdon Park Golf Club 🚗 Last Friday, I had the opportunity to attend a fantastic event hosted by the IOSH South West Branch at Boringdon Park Golf Club in Plymouth alongside Aishah King, Kevin Wiltshire and Kev Sherwood! The session, focused on Driver Awareness was expertly delivered by the Devon and Cornwall Police - road safety team, was incredibly insightful. They covered a range of important topics related to road safety, and I personally found it to be an extremely valuable experience. I was surprised at how many of their internal road safety management processes are transferrable to what we can implement to ensure our team are safe whilst out on the road. Last night I had the pleasure of attending the PBN UK - Property & Business Network event at The Ivy Collection in Exeter It was my first networking event in some time. I'll be honest I was a tad nervous as a 'newbie' walking in but it wasn't long before I was meeting people and having a good chat. The time went by quickly which proves to me I had picked the correct event. If you are new to networking and wish to get out there, meet people and have relaxed conversations I can recommend PBN. Dorset, home of the Jurassic Coast. This is where my travels took me last week. On Monday my first stop was to Christchurch to meet up with Dean, one of our FRA engineers, then onto Holes Bay in Poole to catch up with Max, one of our multi skilled Carpenters. The days and the weeks fly by at Sherwoods so it's nice to take time away from the office and down tools with the team, not necessarily talking shop but finding out more about them as a person and where we can provide additional support. My week ended on a high, spending time with my family and making the first of my Christmas cakes, one down, one to go! Here is myself and Dean, he kindly sat down so I didn't look so short!
