Whether it's connecting via collaborative development programs, listening to the evolving needs of our service men and women, or making someone's day via our We Care Packages, the greatest mission we have, is in serving those who have chosen to protect our country. The top comment I hear from our Beyond The Brotherhood fellows as they onboard is "I am so glad there is a screening process". Why would someone want to be screened before receiving benefits from a 501c3? Because everyone raises money with the Navy SEAL name but that is not where the money usually goes. Ask around - it's true. At BTB, we transition ONLY screened and selected Navy SEALs of character. That's it. There is an administrative load, especially in our first year when we had to set up the 501c3 - our program percentage was 71%, that means that 71 cents of every donation dollar went to the cause. (In the non-profit world, 67% is considered really good). This year, we are at 89%. As we come into the giving season, hit me up if you want to know how we are spending your donations. We squeeze every bit of benefit out of every dollar and it goes where you think it does - to build the next chapter in the lives of our nation's greatest warriors.

Help Us Support Military Families Displaced by the LA Fires The recent fires in Los Angeles have displaced thousands of families, including many in the military-connected community. The Chapman Veterans Club and Recycle For Veterans are stepping up to provide relief, and we need your help to make a meaningful impact. Here’s What We’re Doing: 1. Supporting the Warrior Heritage Foundation: • The Warrior Heritage Foundation (WHF), the official nonprofit of the LA Department of Military and Veteran Affairs, is partnering with the Red Cross to convert Bob Hope Hall (Patriotic Hall) into a 250-bed shelter for military-connected families displaced by the fires. • This effort is deeply personal - members of the WHF are friends and colleagues of ours through the Student Veterans of America (SVA) network. They’re tirelessly working to serve our community, and this is our opportunity to support real people making a difference. 2. Organizing Cleanup Efforts: • Through Recycle For Veterans, we’re preparing a veteran-led cleanup team to assist with environmental restoration once it’s safe to enter the affected areas. How You Can Help: 💸 Financial Donations: Donations to the WHF’s LA Fire Relief Fund will directly support the shelter’s operations, including meals, housing, and essential supplies for families. Every dollar makes an impact. Use the QR code in the attached flyer or click the link below to donate: Donate Here https://lnkd.in/g7sXcZpc 📦 Amazon Wishlist: The shelter is also requesting specific items such as books, board games, and other entertainment supplies to help families pass the time. Items purchased from the wishlist are being shipped to Ralph Figueroa, an Army veteran and the SVA Student Veteran of the Year, who is personally delivering them to the shelter. Amazon Wishlist https://lnkd.in/gDYKBQvU Linda DiMario, Lynne Doti, Mike LeBlanc please consider sharing with your network! Thanks to Steve Leader and Jake Slocum for your leadership! Four special $25,000 donations to local TowerCares Community Heroes charity partners, (Hero Dogs, Inc., Casey Cares Foundation, Hospice of the Chesapeake, and CAMP ATTAWAY INC), along with the credit union's innovative Pennies for Change program, helped push the Foundation over the $3 million mark in just under a decade. https://lnkd.in/e3VKjMdx #towercares #herodogs #caseycares #hospiceofthechesapeake #campattaway
