As you can imagine, in healthcare and sciences there is a lot of information to go around and be viewed. This was a project that took a powerful team to take a heavy amount of content for multiple parties; physicians, patients, researchers, etc. and making it easily digestible for every viewer. Designing websites is about finding the right balance of sharing just enough data while remaining visually striking. Also big shout out to Rich Le (Killer UX Strategist and just an amazing human)

Great to see the continuing growth of leadership teams including NPs and PAs at academic centers highlighted in The Journal of AANP! This article focuses specifically on the addition of APC leadership with a cancer center, which is close to my heart. Changes brought forth with expansion of the leadership team resulted in increased satisfaction, retention, workflow efficiency and expansion of services. AWESOME!! #AANP #nursepractitioner #physicianassociate #qualityimprovement #efficiency #expansion #satisfaction

Academic Foundation Year 2 Doctor, Aspiring Neurosurgeon, Clinical Scientist, Medical Futurist, and Academic Scholar
I am absolutely mortified at what the UKFPO are installing… To be implemented from 2025, changes to the Specialised Foundation Programme (colloquially denoted as the “Academic Foundation Programme” or “AFP”) are coming into play, with the UKFPO announcing yesterday that the Preference Information Allocation (PIA) system - pretty much a “Random Number Generator” in my opinion - will be employed when selecting for SFP / AFP posts. I am absolutely outraged by this - medical students who have painstakingly strived to achieve high exam rankings within their studies, have spent many, many countless hours pursuing clinical and surgical academia through peer-reviewed publications, have exhausted a scarcity of funding for attending and presenting at national/international conferences, and have endeavoured to win highly-esteemed accolades as prizes alongside leadership roles, have now been LET DOWN. All our efforts gone to waste. This is UNFAIR. The system should be based on MERITOCRACY, not PREFERENCE as how can we properly determine a student’s aptitude for an academic career in medicine without taking into account the above considerations? I am just flabbergasted. I have aspiring SFP doctors who have contacted me personally to express their disbelief - feeling as if their pursuits for academic excellence have not been evaluated and considered. Where is the state of clinical and surgical academia going for newly-qualified foundation doctors? Please leave your comments and opinions below. https://lnkd.in/e627HUrt

Dr Talkmore Maruta, Ag. Director of Programs, delivered a compelling presentation at the 2024 Medlab Middle East Congress 5-8th Feb 2024, shedding light on leadership for today’s laboratory professionals. He highlighted ASLM's crucial role in fostering leadership skills among African lab experts, creating an environment conducive to supporting public health. Here's a glimpse of ASLM's impactful interventions: 1️. Education and Training: ASLM focuses on regional education, training, and knowledge sharing under programs like diagnostic optimization and diagnostic network integrations. This ensures effective leadership and management in laboratories and diagnostics. 2️. Dual Leadership Perspective: ASLM advocates for lab leaders and technical experts at both policy and technical levels. This amplifies their voices, promoting engagement at decision-making levels, securing budgets, and human capital for optimal lab operations. 3️. Leadership Fellowship: In collaboration with Africa CDC and African Union, ASLM is contributing to the development of a laboratory leadership fellowship, with a competency framework already in place These efforts align with ASLM's commitment to nurturing and supporting laboratory leadership and professionals. My blog post about ACLM’s induction into the AMA House of Delegates and the champions of #lifestylemedicine who are leading the #houseofmedicine.
ACLM’s June 10th induction into the American Medical Association House of Delegates was a seminal achievement made possible by all those who have invested time, passion, and leadership in the College. ACLM Executive Director Susan Benigas wrote about her and Immediate Past-President Dr. Cate Collings’ experience at the induction and the unexpected lifestyle medicine champions they encountered there. Don't miss this remarkable story on ACLM’s blog! Read it here: https://bit.ly/3RDb4Ux
