Ask any youth or school student about their career choice. Most will come up with popular answers like doctor, engineer, teacher, IAS officer, or IPS officer. If one travels to tier-2 and tier-3 cities or rural regions, an additional answer may come up: a government job. Yes, without linking to any specific career stream, job type, or education, most want a "sarkari naukri," just like their parents. The craze for a government job starts as soon as students clear Class 10th or 12th. They don't even wait to complete their higher education. At a time when several new career options have emerged, students still prefer to become doctors, engineers, teachers, or Sarkari babus, eyeing not only the financial benefits but also the social prestige associated with these professions in the country. But how many of those aspiring to become doctors, engineers, teachers, or sarkari babus actually fulfil their dreams? Except for a few sporadic stories, most successes come from families who either have enough money or can borrow money to pay hefty fees to the coaching centres that promise them a seat in the colleges to pursue the career of their choice. Of course, not all clear the entrance exams on the first attempt. Many drop mainstream education to give attempt after attempt until they feel it's not worth it. In their struggle to secure a seat in popular medical or engineering colleges or universities, they lose a lot of money and time, yet most of them face huge disappointment. After such an enduring struggle, if one gets to know that the entire process of conducting the entrance exam was rigged, one would feel cheated and frustrated. That's exactly how 24 lakh youth of this country who appeared for NEET this year or nine lakh people appearing for UGC NET might have felt. While the exams were cancelled before the results were announced in the latter case, NEET results certainly raised many eyebrows. As many as 61 students topped the exam with a perfect score of 720 marks in an exam with negative marking for every wrong answer! This is higher than the number of seats available for admission in AIIMS, New Delhi, the premiere and most sought-after national institution in the field of medicine. Overall, the entire quota of 100,000 students will be consumed by those who scored 80 per cent marks, leaving no room for those who could not get the desired rank. Unsurprisingly, the National Testing Agency (NTA), the organisation that conducts the exam, has come under scrutiny. Why NEET is not NEAT? Becoming a doctor is often seen as a prestigious and secure career, leading to high societal and familial expectations. Given that NEET scores determine eligibility for medical seats, unfair advantages could significantly alter destinies. I often question why we face these incidents every year with varying degrees of severity. While cheating can occur in any country or exam, the frequency and visibility of such cases in NEET (India's medical entrance exam) can be attributed to several specific factors: 1. Limited Seats and Intense Competition: In India, there are significantly fewer medical seats compared to the number of aspirants. This intense competition creates immense pressure on students and their families. 2. Socio-Economic Disparities: Economic pressures and lack of access to quality preparatory resources can drive some to resort to unethical means. 3. Advanced Cheating Methods: The use of sophisticated technology for cheating (e.g., electronic devices, impersonation) can sometimes outpace the security measures in place. 4. Inadequate Security Measures: Managing security across a large number of test centers across the country can be challenging. Despite strict measures, security lapses occur due to human error or insufficient protocols. 5. Cultural Factors: In many Indian families, there is a cultural emphasis on educational success, often leading to extreme measures to ensure success. 💡To reduce such events in NEET, we need to consider: 1. Improve security measures: Use better technology and train invigilators. 2. Enforce stricter punishment: Penalize those found guilty to deter others. 3. Raise awareness: Educate students and parents about the repercussions of cheating and advocate for ethical behavior. 4. Support underprivileged students: Provide more resources to level the playing field. 5. Decentralize exams: Have fewer students per center and more test dates. 6. Expand career options: Open up more job opportunities for students to reduce the temptation to cheat. Addressing these factors is crucial to create a more secure and fair examination system. Integrity and fairness are fundamental values for doctors, and any compromise on these fronts not only impacts students but also the future of healthcare. I would love to hear if you have any thoughts or suggestions! #neetug

"If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing that it is stupid!" NEET counseling is underway, and I've seen many posts celebrating students who have secured spots in their dream medical schools in India. While its heartening to see their happiness, it's equally important to acknowledge those who didn't make it.❤️ This post is for those who feel or may have felt disheartened at some point of time in their life because they couldn't secure a medical seat. It's okay to give your 100% and still not achieve the desired result. I, too, couldn't secure a government college during my medical counseling. Like many, I was deeply disappointed and felt lost. But instead of staying in that state for too long. I took a step back, reevaluated my strengths, ambitions, and the needs of the healthcare industry that aligns with my skills. I discovered that I was chasing the wrong dreams, and found out much later, that what I truly wanted was right in front of me all along. Since my second year of college, I had been working as a content writer and had published two scientific review papers in an international journal "Nanomedicine UK" by the time I graduated. I actively participated in 3-4 college societies and clubs, anchoring and organizing events, all while maintaining a solid 8.9 GPA. It became clear that I wasn't bad at studies but my passion lay in creative endeavors and communications. Fast forwards two years, today, I have experience as a Market Access Manager for institutional business and currently I'm working as a Project Lead for Marketing and Communications in a medical devices company. All I want to say is, don't be the fish trying to climb up a tree, be the fish that conquers the seven seas. 🐟 Success isn't solely defined by any traditional paths or what people want you to be; it's about finding where you truly belong and be the best at it.😊 #growthmindset #pharmafreshers

Are you or your child fed up with NEET preparation and your child feels that “I no longer want to wait, I want to go to college this year”? I have seen students crazy of NEET and even writing for 2 or 3 years even though the years are getting passed by. In my own family I have seen children wasting their years of time after 3 years of wasted time, going for another course. Don’t worry, here I have given various courses, eligibility, expenses, salary and job opportunities in Medical field and the good news is these courses doesn’t require NEET. Dear Students, going behind your passion is NOT wrong, but equally you require skill for the same passionate career to acquire the seat in your first attempt. If not quickly decide on next passion related to the same field. #ppmm #passionpreneur #education #student #exampreparation #StudyTips #exampreparation #Teenagers #FutureLeaders #careercoach #careersuccess #careergrowthtips #career #careers #careercounseling #careerdevelopment #careergoals #careeropportunities #CareerGrowth #careerguidance #careercounsellors #CareerChallenges #parenting #parents #parentinghelp #parentingcoach #parenthood #ParentingJourney #SuccessStrategies #professional #LifeLessons #PersonalGrowth #valueeducation #valuesmatter #values

#NEET 2024 #SCAM #Re-NEET 2024 #Justice #Lets discuss this #SCAM IN #DETAIL - 👉#On 4th June the election result comes, on the same day, the result of Pre Medical Neet Exam also came, and lakhs of students across the country are making noise about these result.🙆 #Because many strange coincidences have been seen in them.🤷 - 💁 ♦️#Firstly this time 67 students got ALL India Rank 1 (i.e. they scored 720/720 marks.) and out of 67 students the 6 students are from ONE Centre. Can this really be possible?? _________________________________ 💁 ♦️#Second Coincidence is there , THE Rank 2 and 3 got 719/718 out of 720. --------------------------- This is not technically possible, bcs.in NEET Exam , you get every 4 marks for every right answer and 1 marks is deducted for every wrong answer. So, ✖️If any student attempts all ques. and only 1 answer is wrong than his score will be 715 and if not attempt 1 ques. , than his score will be Maximum 716. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ♦️#This is a very strange coincidence because, last year in Neet 2023 , there are only two toppers, who got ALL INDIA RANK 1 . AND in NEET 2022, there are only 4 topers who got all India Rank 1 ********. ********. ******** ♦️The NTA (National Testing agency) says that this will happen because, We gave grace marks to those students, who could not get sufficient time to complete their exam. ################### ♦️But the Ques. here is - How many Grace Marks will be given exactly and how much transparently for the loss of time? 💁 ♦️#Third Coincidence is ,The result date are shifted 10 days in advance. The NEET EXAM was actually to be declared on 14th June but they released the result on 4th June only. #Have you ever heard of this happening? 🤔 ,@@@@@@@@@@ ♦️IS THIS A SCAM BE HIDDEN HERE? 💎#This is a very Imp. issue millions of students and the medical system of the country. ♠️⚧️🤷⚧️♠️⚧️🙆⚧️♠️💁⚧️♠️

Former Distinguished Professor ISRO / DOS and Chairman, BOG, NIT Manipur. Member GoC M S Ramaiah UnivAS& a few others
About NEET tests and ranking for admission!! Learnt a SHOCKING INFO ON ACTUAL ADMISSIONS. Even those who just get about 20% or even less get admissions. Of the 13 lakhs who pass (out of 24 lakhs who appear for tests) with only about 1 lakh MBBS seats available All India (govt and private) one would expect that those who are in the border line of ranking of 1 lakh alone will get admission. AMAZING that those having 11lakh ranking get admitted!! No hanky panky!!! It is because many who cannot get govt colleges of about 6K seats will drop out!!! Apparently there is no restriction of pass percentage marks in NEET counselling; only "pass" whatever it means!! In private colleges per year fees is about Rs 1.5 crores!!! Even honest upper middle class parent can't afford!!! So NEET ranking gives a "fig leaf" for the purchase of seats in private colleges. That shows why persons pay 30 lakhs to buy test papers in advance just to be in the list!!! I saw these in a Careers 360 talk. He has quoted data from NMC Website. I did not check the data he gave. Have requested my friend Arup Dasgupta to post or give link, as my IT skills are limited. IMMEDIATE ACTION BY GOVT/ SC SHOULD BE TO MAKE THE COUNSELLING WITH ADMISSION ONLY FOR THOSE WITH 50% or MORE. SC/ST/OBC 40% or more. Other reserved categories 45% That will still be 2-3 lakhs qualified persons. About fees in private colleges let Govt find a via media!!! To game a system for decades under the facade of MERIT at all-India level and allow rich persons to get seat with even 20% marks is a national shame and GRAVE INJUSTICE TO OUR YOUNG STUDENTS WHO WORK HARD FOR YEARS TO WRITE EXAMS. WE ALL HAVE TO RAISE OUR VOICES FOR THEM, EVEN IF THE POWERS THAT BE MAY NOT HEAR US!!!
