Exciting update from the field! We are utilizing sediment control techniques to construct Islands in the delta of Red River, aiding Mother Nature in forming islands in Netley Lake and reviving natural marshland at the river's mouth. My expertise was crucial in designing the fence for this project, with my team leading the installation. Stay tuned as we observe how it performs in the upcoming months. 🌿 Some fascinating facts about the area: - The Red River flows from Minnesota to Lake Winnipeg, eventually reaching Hudson Bay. - Lake Winnipeg ranks as the 11th largest lake globally in terms of surface area. - Over the past 90 years, human activities have deteriorated the marshland. - Witnessing nature's creation of a new delta, we are expediting the process using our innovative sediment control techniques. - All products used are 100% natural and biodegradable. Initial work in the Canal District just north of 10th Street has begun with dredging the canal of debris and pollutants that flow into Sarasota Bay. This dredging is the first step to improve the south side of the Canal District. Up next, a much-needed replacement of the seawall which currently includes significantly eroded sections from the original 1930’s wall, followed by the eventual installation of state-of-the-art floating day docks to enable future access to The Bay by boat.

How long does the DuraWattle® last? DuraWattle lasts 3-5 years in typical conditions. DuraWattle is designed to be driven over, however, more frequent traffic from heavy machinery may shorten the lifespan of the product. Our monofilament filter fabric has a UV-rating of 90% @ 1000 hrs. The signature red stripe of our barrier may fade over time, but the filter fabric will remain effective. At a home development site in Sacramento, CA a building moratorium prevented the completion of the project and our product was still functioning after 8 years of being installed.
