Hi LinkedIn Community,
I have been on here for over a year and apart from a couple of reshared recruitment posts and like/love/celebrate emojis, you have heard nothing from me, and to be honest I have been very comfortable with that. Because posting on social media - business and employment-focused or not - is not something I find comfortable....
So, you may wonder why I am publishing for the first time now, and the reason is actually quite simple: I believe that a certain level of discomfort is necessary for growth, so I constantly challenge myself to jump into new and uncomfortable experiences and learn from them. Growth and learning are key topics in my life, so my goal is to use this platform to share my thoughts, maybe even inspire others to leave their own comfort zones behind and, of course, to learn a great deal from you.
During my 20+ years at ALDI SÜD, as a Buying Director and now Director for People & Culture in International Buying, I've been fortunate enough to cross paths with lots of fascinating people, each bringing their unique perspectives and insights 💡. From those I've hired or mentored to leaders who have inspired me, one thing stands out to me: the power of people and teamwork. I'm passionate about empowering people and creating environments where everyone can excel.
What can you expect from me? I intend to share my thoughts and learnings in the field of People & Culture and Buying 🛒, mentorship programs, skills development initiatives and new ways of working. I hope to engage in inspiring conversations and see where it takes us.
If you're in the Buying industry or interested in topics like growth mindset, people and culture, let's connect! 🙌
But first, have you recently deliberately embarked on an uncomfortable journey? What does it look and feel like?
