India aims to boost artificial intelligence (AI) in food processing to raise efficiency, support farmers, and cut environmental impact, officials revealed at a National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) conference. The government advocated for a roadmap to deploy AI tools in the sector, with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Secretary showing support. Experts believe AI can enhance agricultural practices, improve produce quality, and aid India’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2070. The global talk about AI must take this current scenario seriously and produce the actual picture of Food science and technology that is currently feeding the pharma industry by making more and more people into patients! Use of Pesticides and insecticides, heavily for preservation are cancerous and artificial sweeteners, preservatives etc have renal toxicity, brain toxicity etc....! A new Protein Industries Canada project is using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve harvests in innovative ways! Ground Truth Agriculture Inc, Parametrics.Ag, C-Merak and Cas-Grain Farms are using #AI to assess grain quality right in the field. The technology developed will be able to predict a crop’s yield, protein content and overall quality early on. This project will benefit the entire food value chain: • Farmers will become more competitive. • Ingredient manufacturers will have access to a steady feedstock supply. • Food processors will be able to buy better-quality ingredients. • Consumers will enjoy improved food and drinks.
