MKHC series hydro-cyclone is widely utilized in starch industry and similar industries. It usually employs 7-15 stages. Starch milk is fed from certain stage then conveyed through each stage in sequence, it is finally discharged from the last stage. Washing water enters from feeding pump in the last stage and backflows in sequence until the first stage then finally overflows there. The function of this equipment is to remove the soluble or insoluble impurities (mainly are protein) in starch milk after eliminating bran. As for wheat starch production, this equipment can be applied, instead of luxury tri-canter centrifuge, for separating wheat starch, gluten and B starch by hydro-cyclone way. Hydro-cyclone unit combines multiple-stage cyclones based on certain configuration and each cyclone consists of several parallel-connected hydro-cyclone tubes with small diameter. As for each stage, several cyclone pipes and one feeding pump are installed according to different process functions in the whole hydro-cyclone unit. Piping with certain instruments such as pressure gauge is equipped on the basis of process requests. Hydro-cyclone combined with related piping features in compact structure as well as simple installation and the system is separate with whole process. In order to remove the protein content in starch milk until it is less than 0.5%, hydro-cyclone must be at least nine stages when produces cereal starch and seven stages when produces tuber starch. When protein content in rough starch milk separated by starch disc separator is less than 2.5%, based on the above-mentioned conditions, protein content in refined starch production could be less than 0.35%.
