Friends, connections, and colleagues, I regret to announce that I am no longer a part of Wayside Publishing as a result of last week’s layoffs. I encourage those affected to keep remembering this isn't so bad compared to, for example, being covered in spiders.
My heart goes out to my fellow layoffees (that's a word, right?), and I wish my former coworkers the best of luck with their future at Wayside Publishing and beyond.
I’d love some help with a signal boost from shares, reactions, or comments! Here's what I'm looking for in my next adventure:
- Meaningful work in the EdTech and Identity Protection sectors, where I can make a positive impact.
- Pursuing roles as a Software Architect or Senior Software Engineer, avoiding management positions.
- Specializing in JavaScript (Node) and/or Go, with expertise in relational, graph, and vector databases, cloud technologies like AWS, and AI/RAG.
- Seeking remote opportunities or hybrid/in-office roles in the Baltimore area.
And now to close with something hopeful: there's an opportunity out there that's a perfect fit, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
