Elanor Investors Group has opened the new Capital Food Market in Belconnen, ACT. The 4,300m2 market hall boasts a fusion of 40 specialist food providores and casual dining operators, providing Canberra’s residents and its visitors a unique food experience to enjoy all year round. The Capital Food Market is the final stage of Elanor’s revitalisation of the three-hectare gateway site, which has housed the original Belconnen Fresh Food Markets precincts since 1976. Elanor’s Co-Head of Real Estate, Michael Baliva said: “We’re very proud to have executed our strategy of revitalising the Belconnen Markets precinct while delivering the new fresh food, dining and retail experiences in a highly convenient and sustainable way for the local community. The new Capital Food Market will reacquaint its customers with our loyal Markets traders in their new stores while introducing them to a range of new fresh food providores and casual dining operators in time for the holiday season.” Elanor’s vision for the Capital Food Market targets net-zero carbon emissions. Elanor’s strategy for the precinct has also unlocked 11,000m2 of mixed-use zoned land for high-density projects. These projects will form part of the precinct’s future residential accommodation with 1,000 dwellings either under construction or awaiting development approvals. #foodandbeverage #market #diningexperience #retailproperty #development https://lnkd.in/gQVXPKN5

9moI dig a food market, and so do many others, so great secondary anchor, should pull more feet to the centre, for a longer visit.
